Over the counter treatment

I am having a Crohn's flare and using tylenol and mylanta. I would like over the counter suggestions other than mylanta. Thanks.

I am not interested in medication recommendations.

My guess is that you've had no replies due to the fact that over the counter remedies don't help this condition. You really do need meds.

My last flare was 10 years ago. Would you take meds?

You have been very very lucky. It is the meds that stop my flare ups.

They do not know what causes Crohn's so there are no simple remedies if you have found something that has worked for you, you have been very lucky. The meds have changed a lot in the 40 years I have suffered from this disease, but they are just things that work but they do not really know why!

It is your choice and you know your body best, but there is nothing over the counter.

If there are any simple remedies, I would not have had 3 surgeries to remove strictures from my bowel. I have been lucky there has been at least 10 years between each surgery and they took less than a foot out each time. But I know people where they have had flare ups and they have lost all their bowel and end up on a stoma bag!
