Waking from sleep with upper abdominal pain for hours at a time
Does anyone have experience of this? Any advice very welcome. I wake from sleep with a slight discomfort, it builds and builds until I have to stand up very straight just to get a tiny bit of relief. Crouching and slow shuffling around also helps very slightly but sitting or lying down is excruciating

Asthma flare up any advice?
First time poster! Just looking for any experiences from other members. I had asthma as a child, seemed to resolve. Seemed to possibly develop again in 2018 following a chest infection and diagnosed in 2020 triggered by mould in a property I was living in! I currently take clenil 100 mcg twice a day

Itching
Any suggestions for itching. My daughter has decompensated liver disease and is struggling to find anything to help with itching. Antihistamine is no longer working.

Carbimazole & hives
Hi, new here. I was diagnosed with Graves disease from a thyroid scan two months ago. I've been on Carbimazole for three weeks ( didn't want to deal with side effects so delayed taking it). Yesterday I woke up with patches of hives on my legs and hips. They spread through the day until they were all

Nucala Injection no 1!
After many years of struggling with E Asthma the big day finally arrived last Friday. Such mixed emotions as I walked into the Clinic. I was extremely anxious and unfortunately after the injection I came out in a rash on my arms and trunk. I was given antihistamine and after all the usual medical checks

Hashimoto's and insomnia
Anyone else struggles with insomnia especially whilst in a flare-up? My doctor has said that insomnia isn't a typical symptom of Hashimoto's hypothyroidism and will only prescribe drowsy antihistamines to help me sleep. Does anyone have any tips or supplements to help with this? I've tried sleep hygiene

Antihistamine and probiotics
I have had long covid for 16 months now, and in the absence of any treatments on the horizon am thinking of trying antihistamine tablets and/or probiotic supplements. My RLS is currently much more controlled than it was, after iron infusion and am taking Gabapentin 400 mg- though insomnia still bad

Provisional diagnosis...does it sound like allergic asthma?
Is daily, chronic phlegm a feature that many people here experience with asthma? I have a provisional asthma diagnosis from GP, and have been on the lowest dose of reliever and preventer inhalers for three months. I am also taking an antihistamine (allergic to pet dander- I have two pets and have done

Hives on scalp
I haven't posted for a while but I developed Hives on my scalp, few itchy spots on my upper body and itchy ears in February. Was given fexofenadine and lotion which calmed the itching down but never went away, every time I've tried to stop the antihistamine I have to start it again. I've got oral lichen

Antihistamines
Hi. I've been using Nasacort to relieve allergies for a year or so. It seems to be getting less effective. What other antihistamines can RLS sufferers use safely.? Also what statins are O.K.to use? Great group. Lots of information. Thanks. Jim

Sore throat 1dp5dt (FET)
Hi guys, So I feel like I’m going nuts… I’ve had a verrry slight sore throat in the few days leading up to my 2nd FET. Nothing bad, I swear I had it leading up to my first FET in December (I was so worried about getting covid and it being cancelled). But of course both times it was not covid so have

Sunshine & Skin Rash
Hi all, Thank you very much to everyone that replied to me with your help and advice on the rash I encountered on my holiday. I apologise for not replying and thanking you earlier but I became quite poorly once I came home. Apparently it appears I got stung or biten while away and it came out in

Can Hayfever make my Hypothyroidism worse ?
Hi I’m wondering if my Hayfever is making my Hypothyroidism worse? And if so does anyone know any tips on how to get it back level? I’ve read a little about histamine and that it can affect your T4/T3 but I’m not really sure, I’ve had particularly bad Hayfever over the last few weeks and I’m starting

Methotrexate
Hi everyone. Anyone on here who has been prescribed methotrexate. I’ve been on hydroxychloroquine for 10 years now. Last year I had a flare up when we had the 2 really hot 🥵 days. After ringing my own drs who told me to use antihistamine cream, medication, cool showers etc, which I’d already done, also

I figured out why I couldn't tolerate antibiotics (caused severe burning) after developing SFN from B12 Deficiency
TL;DR I was able to succesfully use Uva Ursi and Antibiotics by combing them with an antihistamine (Uva Ursi and the antibiotics previously caused severe burning sensation of my skin.) Trimethoprin and Doxycycline were not having a direct toxic effect on my nerves, but were causing mast cells to further

cetirazine and RLS
Just had a really bad night after taking a cetirazine as I have some really bad insect bites. Anyone also found that this antihistamine triggers RLS?

Allergic to the sun?
Hi, I've had lots of things go wrong over time, but this is new. I was doing a little gardening, and I mean a little, on Saturday, I felt my feet tingling in the sunshine but didn't think anything of it. I thought i had prickly heat so sat with my feet in a bucket of icy water put some sudocrem on

Myelin Sheath Repair
This isn't technically a B12 question but since a lot of us have peripheral neuropathy I thought I'd post it here. Has anyone read about a newly discovered use for an old antihistamine, clemastine? They say it can repair the myelin sheath for MS patients. Here is a blurb I read: "[i]Now, researchers
