I was prescribed Creon not knowing they contained Pork ( I'm allergic to it) and within no time I had a reaction and had to take a antihistamine. Back to drawing board as all of them contain pork. My GP asked my consultant Gastroenterologist what's her advice. I'm still waiting for my urgent first appointment

Rituximab Reaction
Hey guys, on Thursday I went for my first (1of2) Rituximab infusions...although I've had two rounds before. I have it for my IgG4 disease which has affected my pancreas. Anyway, it didn't go quite to plan. đȘ I had the pre-meds and was then started on the Ritux at a slow rate. All was fine. Then

Asthma and hay fever
Hello everyone, I hope you are all well. I suffer from mild asthma, and my only trigger seems to be tree pollen induced hay fever. My hay fever is at its worst this time of year. This year, my hay fever has been particularly bad so far, which in turn is triggering my asthma. For the last couple

Latest Bloods - Dr requested a review
An update after my last post in February. Dr put my Levo up by 25mcg, so I have been taking 125mcg per day since the beginning of March. Due to no appts, Iâve eventually got the bloods done that I requested through the GP. Theyâve just texted me a routine appt for May, after the Dr has reviewed my results

Another useless Endo appointment - anti anxiety drugs are apparently the answer to chronic insomnia?!
Having waited a year for my follow up appointment, my t/con with the Endo was pointless. I have recently posted re 20 years of chronic insomnia, sorry Iâm unsure how to tag that post. It included my blood test results. She claims waking at 1-2am is anxiety, and wants me to take anti anxiety drugs.

Glaucoma and other medications
My GP has just prescribed Buscopan and the leaflet says that I shouldnât take this if I have glaucoma. This led me to looking at other medications that I take which include antihistamines and occasional cough/cold remedies. It seems these also shouldnât be taken if you have glaucoma. However, when

Further problems with allergy - what to do?
In February I wrote a post about an allergy crisis that I had just had, and many of you responded very kindly with good feedback and information. The situation has however developed and I am now feeling more at a loss than before and would certainly appreciate further comments and feedback. I will

Hot stinging feeling in leg calves and thighs into groin
I have had this problem for at least 6 weeks - hot stinging feeling in lower and upper leg- the nearest I can compare it to is the feeling after a nettle sting without the white bumps. Been to GP and have tried antihistamine tablets for a week but no improvement. Has anyone else experienced this?

Rash on neck comes and goes away. Steroid cream and antihistamines not working. Been happening for 3 months
I have this itchy neck rash that mainly flairs up or comes back on the weekends. Tried steroid cream. It does know it down, but comes back again. On multiple antihistamines one in the morning and one at night and that doesn't seem to help. I take a daily multivitamin and fiber in the morning, but

Side effect of a Rash with Xtandi and Apalutamide?
Has anyone gotten a rash from either of these drugs? Has anyone taken an Antihistamine for the rash so they could continue with their medication? Has anyone been successful in lowering their dose? Thank you

DofE expedition with asthma
Hi. My 13 year old daughter is meant to go on her DofE expedition (2 nights) in mid April, peak hayfever season. Iâm feeling increasingly stressed about it - what if her asthma flares up while sheâs potentially lost in the woods with her group? Would really appreciate any tips and otherâs experiences

Non Allergic Rhinitis when taking Bisoprolol
I would really like to hear from other members if they have suffered with the above whilst taking Bisoprolol. Iâve now been taking 1.25mg daily coming up to one year on the 1st March. Over the last week or so Iâve been experiencing extremely sensitive eyes, stuffy/runny nose starting from mid morning

Ambroxol is an antihistamine. High histamine associated with PD. Low histamine associated with RLS
My PD symptoms have greatly decreased. It is bizarre. (Yes I have PD , was diagnosed twice, father has PD) I used to have a visible tremor in my fingers that would come out when exhausted or stressed. It has disappeared as of late. My âweird legâ as I call it, PD feeling of disconnected weaker

allergies
Hello Everyone, I am wondering whether more of you have had a problem with allergies since your CLL began and since you have started treatment with Ibruntinib or suchlike. For me it seems to be an ever worsening problem. It began 2 years before diagnosis with an insect bite allergy, which by now totally

Edited: PD increases chance of RLS.(yes) Azilect worsens RLS.(wrong) Ambroxol, being an antihistamine I believe worsens RLS.(incorrect)
Edited to state that: I was wrong! Editing my edit: (yes, I know, but Iâm trying) Not only do dopamine agonists make RLS worse but so do meds that increase dopamine. Azilect was not mentioned specifically but increasing dopamine is a âcause of RLS augmentation.â Levodopa increases augmentation meaning
