Outcome of my consultant appointment
I have been waiting for my appointment to see the consultant at my local hospital and the day finally arrived on Wednesday. It was his last appointment and he looked tired but gave me his full attention. He was kind, listened to my questions and professional. There was a 5 point plan put into place

Mycophenolate update after Rheumy appt
Hi all, It's the wee hours of the morning. Can't sleep -- but that's another story. I saw my Rheumatologist earlier today to review my experience on Mycophenolate. I was feeling quite bright as I'd had encouraging results since a few weeks after starting it. My sun sensitivity went way down, which

Oh dear failed
WK9R1 and only managed to run for 15 mins, I felt dizzy so turned and walked back home. So disappointed 😢. Still feel a bit shaky so I think I was right to stop. Could be the heat or the antihistamine I took before I started. Will try again when the weather turns a bit cooler. 🏃♀️

Pollen, symbicort Smart and ventolin
Any help or advice would be really very much appreciated as I don't know what to do for the best. Briefly I have mild asthma. I say mild as it has gone undiagnosed for years. Diagnosed 2 years ago amongst recurring pneumonia. Because of the pneumonia I am on Symbicort Smart regime. I have never had

Is my constant itchy scalp neuritis?
My issue dates back 7 years where I had an intensely itchy scalp like a crawling sensation for a month. It has since come back for 2 weeks at a time then disappears. Until last year when it came back April 2017 it has gone for 2 months then has been there pretty much for a year. It is an unbearable need

How do you get a good review?! General moan...
Hi all, I've had asthma for about 10 years and have never had a good review. The worst include being sent away because it was a computer error and being told to lose weight to cure asthma (I had a BMI of 17 at the time....). Anyway, I had a review yesterday after waiting 2 months for an appt and running

Hi everyone. I have SSC, Raynauds and Sjogrens, diagnosed 3 years ago. I have had problems with the skin on my back for a while, it flares at night across the whole of my back, it feels exactly like sunburn, red hot (with heat radiating from it that my husband can feel from across the bed)and so painful

I feel severely fatigued and yesterday it was worse than ever. I had take 2 days of a antihistamine which I don't know if this affected me along with all my meds. not taken anymore. I felt drunk and could hardly keep my eyes open. today isn't much better. I feel a strange feeling today, a bit like sunburn

If it's not Chickenpox or Shingles...
I was diagnosed with phoritic RA ( as well as all the other arthritis ) put on a high dose of mexitrate by injection . Anyhow, broke out in a horrible rash on my hands and arms. Went to the chemist, they said heat rash and flogged me antihistamines. Rash continued to be really painful and incredibly

A-Fib and antihistamines
I get really bad hayfever and this year it has been unbearable. Doctor prescribed me fenofexadine which works well and is pretty much the only one which doesn't make me drowsy. I thought I would look online to find out if the are any contra-interactions etc. and I noticed on the NHS website it says to

Hayfever: Drops, Tablets or Nasal Sprays?
Hi, After a pretty bad attack of asthma & hayfever I've been advised by the clinic to get some antihistamines (loratadine). What's the better delivery method? Drops, Tablets or Nasal Sprays? Thank you. Sidsmate

UC and idiopathic urticaria
Hi. I have UC. It’s under control at the moment. I take mesalazine, herbal remedies and supplements. About 5 years ago, i suffered from idiopathic urticaria and given Fexofenadine. Now the hive seem to come back in my neck and then go. I am convinced everything is linked. Anyone else suffers from that

Itchy
I am now had 3 loading double cimzia injections and two single ones. I feel no difference and suffering from itchy skin. I contacted my specialist nurse but she had not back to me. It's affecting my sleep at night if we don't already have enough to contend with. I've taken antihistamine but does not

Mirena coil: allergic reaction
Wanted to post on here to make people aware that despite the low incident rate of 1 in 100 patients having an allergic reaction to the Mirena IUS, it does happen. I had just had one! Here's a quick description of me & my symptoms so people can note what an allergic reaction to Mirena hormonal coil looks

Antihistamine yes or no?
Hands up all those who have started to take antihistamine for their hay fever? Ok l will rephrase it. How many of you who have Raynauds and Migraines are still unaware that antihistamine full or in part is a vascular constrictor? And if your asking why, surely by now you know that Raynauds and migraines

Brugada Syndrome & Hayfever
I was just wondering whether anyone else on here suffered with Brugada Syndrome & Hayfever? My husband was only diagnosed with Brugada last sept after collapsing in aug, his had a s-icd fitted. But obviously with Brugada comes a long long long list of drugs to avoid which includes antihistamines....

To Run or not to Run, that is the question!
Today I am supposed to have started week 9 and the graduate podium is beckoning. However, I have been bitten on my foot by some horrible Blood sucking vampire (I think actually a horsefly) and my allergic response to any kind of bite is to swell up, despite antihistamines. Do I ignore my swelling foot
