Itching
Since I’ve had the steroids my liver has been getting better I’m really pleased with the steroids also still no pain, still finding this amazing. The only problem I have is this constant need to itch my body mainly legs and bum I can’t stop scratching myself. Years ago when this happened I tried antihistamines

Hypo to Hyper
Hi I have gone hyper after changing my meds to tiremol. I have cut the dose down the last couple days but still couldn't sleep. I have probably had about 2 hours sleep last night. I have tried antihistamine and natural sleeping aid tabs. It still doesn't work. I still can't sleep. Why would I go hyper

How to stop an itch?
It’s not really about my asthma this time, but asthma and allergies are totally related so someone may have an idea 😅 I’m currently sitting here having a reaction to substance unknown (which seems to happen to me a lot 🙄), luckily this time it’s mainly effecting my eyes! I usually get by, by taking

itchy scalp and benepali??
Me again wondering if anyone else on benepali is experiencing an itchy scalp at all as I am; particularly after injecting and for the first 48hrs; want to really scratch but am trying not too. When I first started on this in march I took antihistamines for hay fever, so only noticed problems with sinuses

Baclofen and new meds
Hi wondering if anyone has any advice. I have cough variant asthma brought on by temperature below 10 degrees. I saw professor Allyn Maurice just over a year ago (he’s a cough professor at Hull) he prescribed Baclofen which I now take (60mg per day) apparently it’s not easily tolerated, side effects

Naive question - should I be pain free on Pred?
Dear Friends, Please forgive me if this has appeared on the posts. I cant find it anywhere and this is my third attempt at writing this post and not forgetting to click 'post'! Diagnosed 8 weeks ago with GCA and on 60 mg Pred. My rheumy has created a taper every 2 - 3 weeks of 10 mg per time. Now

My top tips for coping with asthma
1. Always visit your doctor when symptoms start to get bad and/or your medication isn’t working so well. Don’t be afraid to keep going back until you get what you need. 2. Find out what the triggers are and try to avoid or minimise these e.g I take antihistamines every day even if it’s not hayfever season

Update on eczematous rash and/ or hives (?) after 10 weeks on Hydroxychloroquine...
I stopped taking Hydroxychloroquine seven weeks ago when I had a severe skin reaction, flushing of skin, itching and eczematous type patches on skin. I had actually had the flushing and darkening of skin for weeks before I stopped. However, as I had much less RA pain, I was encouraged to persevere!

Sleep or lack of!!
Dear All We are hitting a new era of agitation in the daytime and at night. Daytime I am managing but the nights are exhausting. So looking to the experts ( you guys) for ideas to improve my husband’s sleep. I give his night time sedation (Clonazapam)at 8pm in the hope it will settle him. Put

FLU JAB - EGG FREE - OR NOT
I have COPD and am allergic to eggs. I used to attend the hospital clinic for the "egg free" flu jab as until about 5 years ago my GP was able to get this. I was one of very many at this hospital clinic. For the past 2 or 3 years I have not been recalled. The telephone number of the clinic is now unobtainable

When life throws you a curveball ... not my best day!
So on Friday I stupidly wore my sports bra all day, having done pilates in the morning. On Saturday I woke up to tenderness and a rash, which I put down to the tight elastic. It was a pretty angry rash but I struggled back into a sports bra and did my weekend run anyway. Antihistamines and creams all

Seriously can my body just stop!
If it’s not one thing it’s a-bloody-nother In hospital because of asthma and infection. Get to ward and it seems ok tho can’t sleep cause of drugs and the fact my infection seems to have travelled to my sinuses too 🤧😣. At 4.30am my body decide that nows the ideal time to swell up my lips, give me hives

Hi folks! I am one month post Hydroxychloroquine withdrawal( RA/OA); I had to stop this drug as I had severe skin rash and other horrible symptoms. I have still got this awful, itchy rash which looks more like eczema now. Currently, I m only on Meloxicam, antihistamines and painkillers. Has anyone

This is a post about my recovery from PPP. It talks about dark moments in my illness but ends with recovery and hope. It's a bit long. ~~~ Although I’ve been anticipating this anniversary all summer, this morning I somehow forgot about it as I prepared pumpkin pancakes while my 14-month old ran around
