Did my Hashimoto start after this hardship/trauma?
I know this sounds absurd, How do I know when my body started producing thyroid antibodies? I know that Summer 2015 was stressful and traumatic, someone emotionally hurt me, that was the worst betrayal in my life because I felt I was being used and taken as stupid. Anyway, you don't want to read my horrible

Shingles vaccine (Zostavax)?
I had a routine visit with my PCP yesterday. She recommended I get Zostavax 2 mos. before considering Ocrevus or any of the other newer meds. Yrs. ago, my neuro recommended against Zostavax because it's a live attenuated vaccine. I believe NMSS or MSSA now say it's up to you and your doc. I wondered

Methotrexate added after rheumy appt this evening.
So my rheumy is less concerned than my doctor about my inability to taper below 13mg. I am to continue on 13 and add in 7.5mg of Mx per week along with 2 weekly blood tests. She has also prescribed a flu vaccine and a pneumonia vaccine. I have avoided flu jabs like the plague so far but guess I should

HPV vaccine
Hi everyone, I'm after a bit of advice regarding my daughter having the HPV vaccine. I don't want her to have it, all of her peers have had it and she was happy with the decision we'd made but now she is having second thoughts and is worrying she will get cervical cancer. I am concerned about her having

Measles rash after the MMR vaccine
My little boy has got the measles type rash after the MMR vaccine. It's all over his body and he's had it since Saturday. Has anyone else experienced this and know how long it stays for? He's also vomited twice in the pass 12 hours but I'm assuming this is a bug and not connected. Thanks

Query re vaccinations
Hi friends, I have one question , is it wise to have the "flu vaccination" while on steroids, and methotrexate? I know it isn't a live virus used, but would like some advice, I usually have an annual vac due to my lungs( bronchiectasis) ... not sure of the spelling there . Last time I wrote here, I

Sickle Cell Thalassemia & Shingles
Has anyone had the Shingles vaccine, and if so did you experience any crisis as a result? What if at all has been any medical advice concerning having the vaccine, or advice in taking the risk to not receive the vaccine? I am very concerned about taking either route, it's lie a catch 22.

A worrying video
This latest episode of The Truth about Vaccines which has just been released contains extremely important information for all of those who, like thyroid patients, may have compromised immune systems. I believe that we should all have as much information about every aspect of our health as it’s possible

Things I have heard about treating BC
For what it's worth: At 70 and in treatment for BC since 2012, I have heard several people tell me a few things pertaining to treating BC. One cousin whose brother had it said Asparagus is good for it, and my cousin eats it 2 times a week. Another swears that Tumeric is excellent to help prevent further

Latest update on dramatic results with Opdivo
Hi, here are the latest pictures of my mums progress with Opdivo. It's nothing short of a miracle what we can see from the outside! The 2 fungating lesions at the inscision sites that appeared after surgery have disappeared and and on palpitation of the areas I feel no lumps at at, just scar tissue.
