Flu Shot
I am wondering if anyone gets the Flu shot? I was originally told not to get it as it was thought that I may have had Guilliane Barre. Since being told I have FND I wonder if I should start getting the Flu shot again?

Lung pain every time I breathe in
I am perplexed in what's been going on with me recently. 2 weeks ago I had my flu shot without any trouble. That Sunday I woke up in pain thinking it was just a "flare" of fibromyalgia. The next day I had 2 very bad asthma attacks. I messaged my doctor. They set me up with an appointment the next morning

Went to the itp patient day!
Hi everyone! Well I went to the itp patient day last Friday at Hammersmith hospital. My daughter came with me as my husband was working. I found it quite interesting even if I didn't really understand a lot of the jargon about the immune system, t cells etc! I didn't learn anything about itp that I hadn't

To have the flu jab or not?
Hello, I'm new here 🤗 I'm 45 and was hospitalised in March with Pneumonia and since diagnosed with asthma. Suffer with acid reflux, recurrent sinisitus and just generally feeling rubbish. Long story but my condition may be caused by exposure to toxic mould in my work environment. Awaiting results. I've

Pneumonia Shots
When you get your annual flu shot, it is very important that you check and ensure that you have had your 2 lifetime pneumonia shots. These can be a lifesaver. Best Regards, judg69

FLU JABS ARE OUT
Don't you nice people forget to get your flu vaccine rumour has it this year's flu is going to be on par with the 1918 Spanish flu that killed more than WW1 what they do not say is in those dark days we had no flu jab, no antibiotics yet only two million died.

Flu Jab?
Has anyone had the flu jab at their Rheumy clinic at hospital? I'm seeing my Lupus nurse tomorrow but can't get the egg free jab at my GP's. Just wondered if anyone else has got theirs at hospital for any reason or also needed the egg free one.

Flu vaccine suitable for CLL WW with egg allergy
Hi folks, Could anyone recommend a flu vaccine for me (available in U.K.) I'm on wait and watch for 4 years as I have a egg allergy so can't have the standard vaccine. My GP practice nurse last year was very unhelpful last year, telling me there wasn't one available so I went without. Fortunately

Flu jab
I have another dilemma now. My family think I should have flu jab as I am now 73. I had it for the first time last year and felt under the weather for 6 months. I have found a chemist which has a jab with no mercury but don't know whether to have it or not. My Daughter is quite concerned as they are

Scary increase in BP
Hi My partner, like me, has high BP (his is worse than mine) He is on 10mg ramapril daily and it is still a tad too high as a rule. In the last week it has shot up to around 180/110. This worries me a lot more than him! I have just remembered that about a week ago he had his annual flu vaccination

Flu jab
I've not had a flu jab for the last 11 years! I was asked what date I had it! And to let them know! I'm on warfarin for a PE and blood clot in my right leg, should I have it? Any advice please.

Flu Jabs
Hi My GP surgery has recommended that I have a flu jab. I had one many many years ago and felt quite ill after it so a bit anxious about having one. However, as I am having so much trouble at the moment shaking off a common cold, I am worried about getting flu over the winter. Has anyone had the flu

Flu Jab - Yes or No.
Hi everyone, I'm due to have my Flu Jab in a couple of weeks time like everyone out there I imagine - what is the general feeling about it? Last year was the first year I had it, and to be honest I vowed never again. I was so ill with a really heavy cold/flu, and it took weeks and weeks to get rid of

Hydroxycarbamide and Flu Vaccine
Hi everyone, I have just started taking Hydroxycarbamide and am into the sixth week (500mg three times a week) of treatment. I have been told that I can have the flu vaccination whilst taking Hydroxycarbamide but I am unsure as to whether I can have the vaccination so early on in my treatment. Any

Thanks for replies
To all who replied to my earlier post 'bad stomach...statins' I took your advice and was seen by the nurse practioner at 6 pm(how's that for service!) she said I'm really bloated and sore. Blood pressure high. Told me to stop the statins and prescribed ranitidine and cocodomol. See how I go. Oh, and
