Abnormal repolarization?
Hello all Just wondering if anyone can help with the details my cardiologist has put in the letter to my GP. I've been having lots of dizzy and fainting spells and had a 24 HR holter monitor. My GP then referred me to a cardiologist at the hospital as it was mentioned that my heart rate is often very

Hi there. Just an introductory post. My name's Connor, I have FA, and I'm 24. I was diagnosed when I was 9, had spinal fusion surgery at 12/13, I started using a walking frame at 17, and went into a wheelchair at 20. I have a degree in accountancy, I don't work but I've done a bit volunteering. Now a

Change of treatment from ibrutanib to Venetoclax. Progression of CLL?
Recently he had to have a
pleural
effusion
drained on his right lung. Today we have been told that CLL was found in the fluid and that the ibrutanib he had been on must no longer be working. The doctor is going to put him on Venetoclax.

Hi all. New here and looking for help/advice please.
I had my first heart attack 3 years ago at age 46 ( STEMI with 1 stent fitted) and, unfortunately, have had another in May this year ( NSTEMI 2 stents fitted). My recovery this time is not going well, I have daily chest pains, constantly short of breath, sore throat, feel flushed and very fatigued. Saw

Pleural effusion, its implications and pain relief
My husband has been diagnosed three days ago with
pleural
effusion
and is due to have it drained in a weeks time. He's been on the Flair trial with ibrutanib for three years and generally has done quite well on it, with a couple of blips. He's had to come off it in preparation for the procedure.

Swimming or standing in water for BI recovery
Just being in chest-level deep water leads to a 14% increase in blood flow to the brain. An article entitled The Best Swim Workouts + 8 Key Benefits of Swimming By Dr Axe may contain helpful recovery information for BI survivors. https://draxe.com/fitness/workouts/swim-workouts-benefits-swimming/ The

Recovery after bypass
I'm new to the community. I had a quad bypass in November 2016 after experiencing tightness in my chest and jaw but no heart attack. Last year I started to have the same feelings again and panicked that something was wrong. I was referred back to my cardiologist which resulted in my having a cardiac

Is an MRI heart stress perfusion test likely to trigger an AF episode? Anybody had one whilst in sinus mode?

I don’t know what to do now?!
During February my doctor sent me to see a lung doctor after a few tests he said that there is
pleural
effusion
(water in the lung) left side. I had a tab done then was told it was difficult so you going to need a procedure by a cardio thoracic.

Microvascular angina? Is it worth getting a second opinion?
I have been getting chest pain on exertion (esp. walking uphill) for several years. At first it was the exception, now it is pretty regular, but still variable. Sometimes I can do a similar walk with a lot of pain, sometimes very little. I've had the following tests - Exercise CT scan; CT Coronory angiogram

Pleural Effusion / PleurX Drain
Mom had the Gamma knife May 3rd, quickly tapered off steroids to have Infusion May 6th, then ended up in ER on the 9th. She has a fever and lung fluid build up again. Back in March they drained 1.8 liters from her left lung. This time it was just 1 liter, and the doctors said the drainage tube would
