Pleural effusion drain
Has anyone had a pleurex catheter inserted for
pleural
effusion
drainage? I have been drained three times and need it again and so they want to put in a permanent catheter so I can drain myself. Scares me but they said continued drainage in the back can leave scar tissue.

Stress MRI
Have a cardiac perfusion MRI on Thurs, with a generous dollop of the playful adenosine to bring back some lovely memories of my heart attack. In the tube about an hour. I actually think I would prefer to be at work.

Pleural effusion and CLL urgent thoughts sought!
He was told the CLL caused a
pleural
effusion
. How would CLL do that, if indeed it does? By way of treatment he has been offered a chest drain or pleural glue. Any thoughts? What should he do? This is a real live problem? Any shared wisdom? Any similar experiences? Thank you! Jig

Micro vascular angina
I think I have MVA. Main symptoms are breathlessness and tiredness. Saw cardiologist at wythenshawe in Manchester who has ordered gold standard tests. Need a cardiac mri, perfusion test and 24 hour pulse test to check electrical activity. Has anyone had these tests and what was the outcome.

Hi there. Just an introductory post. My name's Connor, I have FA, and I'm 24. I was diagnosed when I was 9, had spinal fusion surgery at 12/13, I started using a walking frame at 17, and went into a wheelchair at 20. I have a degree in accountancy, I don't work but I've done a bit volunteering. Now a

Change of treatment from ibrutanib to Venetoclax. Progression of CLL?
Recently he had to have a
pleural
effusion
drained on his right lung. Today we have been told that CLL was found in the fluid and that the ibrutanib he had been on must no longer be working. The doctor is going to put him on Venetoclax.

Pleural effusion, its implications and pain relief
My husband has been diagnosed three days ago with
pleural
effusion
and is due to have it drained in a weeks time. He's been on the Flair trial with ibrutanib for three years and generally has done quite well on it, with a couple of blips. He's had to come off it in preparation for the procedure.
