After the biopsy,Alan asked the radiologist if he,d managed to get the fluid from the
pleural
effusion
and the tumour and he said he didn't,t get the fluid from the effusion because it had dissipated but had taken biopsies from the tumour. Is this good news?

Spinal fusion complications post op that required operation 10ish days later. IM still having issues and starting my medical board out of the navy. I know I still have a lot of issues to deal with and I know my body tends to get worse with stress. Do you know of any stress lowering techniques or advice

Chronic chest pain that won't go away
There is no
pleural
or pericardial
effusion
. The thoracic aorta demonstrates no evidence of aneurysm or dissection. There is no lymphadenopathy within the chest. The evaluation of the pulmonary arteries reveals adequate opacification of contrast through the mid subsegmental level.

Myocardial perfusion scan results
Hi everyone, I hope someone can shed some light on my results from a myocardial perfusion scan. I had drug induced stress test first and then a rest test. The results say 'shows a small reversible defect in the apical segment of the antero-septal wall. Quantitatively this involved no more than 3% of

Predisolone diary 6: struggling to stick to 4mg
I've now been on 4mg daily for about 8 weeks, sticking it out in the hope that my adrenal system will kick in and restore its natural functioning given enough time. Spinal Fusion
Hello I'm about to have a spinal fusion and was wondering if any other sclerry peeps have had the same and if your sclerry kicked off afterwards. I'm having a bone graft from my left hip and am worried it may weaken it as its the first of three. 😟

Myocardial perfusion scans
In case anyone else has had this suggested to them, here's my experience this week. Basically, it's a radionuclid scan of the heart to see if there are any problems with coronary vessel narrowing etc. First, you get ECG monitored under stress. Apparently this used to be done with a treadmill, but now

Spinal fusion L5-S1 for spondylolisthesis, pain worsening
Hi there, I had spinal fusion with instrumentation in Feb 2015 for grade 2 spondylolisthesis as all other avenues had been explored but to no avail. After a lengthy recovery things started to improve but then slowly worsened. Scans showed that excess bone had grown trapping a sciatic nerve which accounted

Raising money for Myelopathy
We speak to fellow sufferer and artist Margot Miller from Putney, Vermont. USA. Margot was diagnosed with myelopathy in August of 2007 at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville Fla. where she underwent four emergency spinal fusions. "I'd say I'm traumatized by them and that they happened without a second

Heart failure and possible chd
Hi I am Jane, 64 years old and have been told I have sinus bradycardia and left ventricular dysfunction. I am having a nuclear perfusion stress test on 11th July 2017 and a resting test on 13th July to check for CHD. I had the same stress test done 7 years ago and my coronary arteries were clear. Now

Feeling Guilty
My Husband was diagnosed with Picks Disease 9 months ago. I am still working full time and feel so guilty about it. I blame me for him talking to himself due to him being on his own. I cant afford to stop working due to husband not working for years due to lots of other health issues. Crohns Disease.

Good Response with Cyramza/Taxotere
Pleural
thickening is basically gone and
pleural
effusion
almost gone. Tumor shrunk and lymph node involvement totally reduced as well as SUV uptake down all around. No signs of any additional mets. Round #3 was yesterday and we had to adjust steroid use as it was really messing with my GERD.

Hello all. Over the past few months, I feel my health has taken a turn for the worse. Now I'm finding myself deciding if it's wort all the suffering, or if escaping it all is for the best. Feeling a little guilty!
Hi all..having read a few of the posts I must admit to feeling a little bit of a fraud, in comparison, my problem seems very small. I was diagnosed with angina about 18 months ago, by chance really, as I had been experiencing pain between my shoulder blades, breathlessness when walking my dog and exhaustion

There is light at the end of the tunnel
I had a large tumour, ascites, a
pleural
effusion
and some activity in the lymph nodes in my chest. Initially I had 11.5 litres of ascites drained off, then 8 litres followed by a further 4litres. I was huge round my middle!
