hello, I had surgery on my aortic valve on Tues (28th September). I have really bad tension in neck, back and sternum which is making it impossible to sleep. Also think I’ve got some constipation too. (Appreciate maybe too much info). I had two blood transfusions and developed arthymia post surgery

Husband quite poorly.
Hello all, Just an update, husband still quite poorly. The hospital are still struggling to stop the bleeding, he is very swollen with fluid, legs, feet, stomach, arms and hands. Totally immobile at the moment and not attempting to get out of bed due to the amount of pain and low BP, which is fluctuating

Extremely High TSH
Ten months ago I nearly left this world. A lot of stress in my life and I thought I was just run down and tired. Long story short I ended up in ER severely anemic, got 2 blood transfusions and still low blood count so continued with the iron. Upon follow up, for some reason I requested my thyroid tests

Is the end in sight?
I have fought stage 4 metastatic hormone resistant prostate cancer for 6 years so as to make sure I don't get where I am at now. sitting in a chair looking out the window unable to do anything, wondering if my end date is close. Two weeks ago, my abdomen became distended and very painful. The diagnosis

Waiting on chemo…platelets still going down
We’ve been waiting to do cabazitaxal now for three weeks due to low platelets. They continue to drop weekly and daily. As of Thursday they were at 31. Held off on chemo to find out bone marrow biopsy results done same day. Should get results Monday. MO says if it is cancer in the bone marrow, recommends

Husband back in hospital
Evening all, What an horrendous few days, greeted on Sunday by my eldest son at the door when I returned from work saying that Dad is really poorly and needs to go to hospital. When I saw him I agreed, his chest was bright yellow, very swollen, and he was struggling to breathe, rang for an ambulance

Why I Choose an Unproven Treatment
Anemia is expected, sometimes severe, with 25% of patients requiring
transfusions
. Thrombocytopenia can also be severe with 10% requiring
platelet
transfusions
. Fortunately, renal toxicity is absent since it is not excreted by the kidneys but rather the liver.

Hi , I'm going to try to keep this short as possible. I was diagnosed with IBS I'm 2006 and in 2015 my health became worse as I had an ectopic pregnancy which resulted in emergency surgery. I needed a blood transfusion as my tube ruptured. A couple of days later I was diagnosed with multiple PEs

Doctor gave 1-2 months, please help
Chemo is risky but they will do it with
platelet
transfusions
but he will have to stay in hospital. I can't think I don't know what to do or what to ask. Edit to add. We saw Dad's radiation oncologist Osama who has said to not think of numbers, only God knows that information.

How am I still anemic?
hi folks. I’m hoping for some advice. I had open heart surgery in sept 21 and then again in Jan 22. I had a blood transfusion after the second one (1 bag). I’ve been anemic ever since. They started giving me on iron tablets 3 months ago , after dietary changes didn’t improve things , but my iron stores
