My daughter's, ( aged 34 ), recent blood test shows a result of 188pmol/L range says anything over 40 is high. She has been diagnosed with PCOS in 2007 and had a successful pregnancy in 2011. She has now been denied an appointment with either endo or gynae on the grounds she has PCOS. Her GP has given

Heart rates
What is your resting heart rate? And what will it get up to when your not resting? My resting heart rate is noreally around the mid 80's, like 84- 85. I will check it during the night and first thing in the morning before I get out of bed and it is 85 or so. During the day if I'm up and around sometimes

Ibs
Hi New to group. Started to get symptoms of ibs about three months ago although I'm 65. I did have ibs about thirty years ago which cleared up after a short time thanks mainly to peppermint oil capsules - can you use brand names? Trying them now as current doctor not very helpful, had blood tests

LDN ndt and metformin
Does anyone have any experience of taking low dose naltrexone, desiccated thyroid, and metformin all together. I have gluten intolerance, rheumatoid arthritis, very low basal temperature (lowest was 34.9, averages around 35.3) , probable adrenal problems if the standing / sitting blood pressure test

Take Armour Thyroid with Candex?
I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes (insulin resistance) a year ago, and the doctor prescribed Metformin (first 500 mg x 2, then 500 mg x 3, which was later raised to 850 mg x 2). I took it for a while, it worked well, and lowered both blood sugar and insulin levels, but then I got scared because I read

Metformin use linked to risk of low thyroid hormone levels
This story is doing the rounds today - one version in Daily Mail, another in the Express. I thought this slightly more serious and complete article appropriate to post here. [i]Metformin is a drug commonly used to treat type 2 diabetes by controlling the amount of sugar in the blood. Now, a new study

B12 and Neuropathy - confused
Hi, I've been a vegetarian for 20 years. I ate mostly at home. My past live-in-partner for 14 years suffered from chronic fatigue and fibro and burning in her leg. She also struggled with memory problems, depression, and mood changes. A few years after we moved in together, I suffered from on/off
