What impact does mouth breathing have on afib/ectopics?
I've seen a few bits and pieces around the internet on this, but nothing solid. I also saw a topic on afibbers about people taping their mouths shut, etc to force nose breathing. Problem for me is that I have a dysfunctional breathing issue, which I've had for a couple of years and I'm struggling to

Hi! I read some of your posts and I need some help! I am taking 125mcg tirosint and my TSH IS 0.1 BUT MY T4 IS 2.4( VERY HIGH)- My doctor decided to put me on 100 mcg, but I am concerned because it will bring my TSH super high. I read from your posts that you combine the two doses. Anyone that had a

Paler Stools
Hello, Over the last week I've been getting quite pale stools. They aren't white, but they are very light brown. I've attached the sort of colour. I've asked my doctor about this, however because my Billirubin last week was normal and I'm not jaundiced (only ALT is raised, echo - fatty liver) he said

Photos and jaundice eyes- all members please read
Dear all, Admin have noticed more posts asking for interpretation of photos of members eyes to see if they are jaundice. Whilst we do appreciate that people are worried about jaundice, can we remind all members that this is against our community rules- see pinned post. Photographs are very difficult

Can Ubiquinol and other muscle supplements CAUSE muscle aches?
Hi All Tried 100 mgs Ubiquinol yesterday before my regular Sunday 60 m ride. And, unexpectedly, had the worst ride in a very long time! I've tried ubiquinol in the past, with nil effect, good or bad. Any ideas what caused this please? I have also (recently) had similar bad results with other supplements

My son had a Kasai procedure performed at 60 days old. He just had his 2 weeks labs and his bilirubin is a little higher than right after surgery. Did anyone have this happen and go on to have kasai be successful? Thank you! Suzy

What's Normal?
Hello Learn how to read and monitor your labs according to how you feel. It takes time but Doctors dont treat the patients anymore. They treat the paperwork from the lab! They go by general standards and so called Best Pracatices. Doctors have 20 minutes to spend with you and decide what's best for

Heart fluttering - strange feeling in my chest
On Friday 03/07/20 was working when I felt my heart fluttering it started in the left side of my chest. It was really strange, could not put it to words how it felt. I was heating up, so I stood up left my desk and laid down on my bed for approximately 20 minutes then after that exact time everything

Eltrombopag vs Romiplostim
Has anyone had BOTH of these drugs? I am considering asking my haematologist if I can switch (after being on eltrombopag for 3 months) to Romiplostim. I see from a table showing a summary of treatments for ITP that there is a whole long list of side effects with eltrombopag but nothing significant

Tissue RNA expression of DIO1, DIO2, and DIO3
Another article by thyroidpatientsca published on June 25, 2020. These days, we see quite a lot of appreciation of the DIO2 gene - and why variants can affect thyroid hormones in our bodies. Albeit it mostly in the form of patients asking about it and testing. But we see next to nothing beyond that

Poikilocytosis and Burr cells
I have CLL, the slow moving type since 2013; am 68 yrs old. My blood work is not that much out of the normal range and I feel fine. Had my standard checkup last week with a new oncologist who order a standard CBC plus a couple of other new blood tests; testing for the existance of poikilocytosis cells

How is Armour working these days...?
According to the most recent info on the STTM, Armour is currently the only good brand of NDT available. That´s kind of surprising, given how the STTM kept saying a few years ago that reformulated Armour was no longer working... So, is this more about Armour being less bad than other brands of NDT, or
