My bilirubin level is a bit high ?

Hi I’m 17 years old I did a blood test a month ago and my bilirubin levels showed that they are a bit high 46 but my alanine aminotranferase and alkaline phosphates are normal is there something I should be worried about even though I was taking acne medication. Please help I’m worried

Hi Jacob,

Its not possible for us here to interpret your blood test results as no one here is medically trained and diagnosis, especially for liver disease, relies on much more than just blood tests. For your info too, its actually against the forum rules to post them, so just be aware of that for future reference.

It is a bit of an anomoly though and it is something that you should speak to your own doctor about to try and get to the bottom of the cause. In lots of cases anomalies like that turn out to be caused by something quite simple. However, it is worth investigating further to see if the cause can be bottomed out.
