pros and cons of various brands of porcine and bovine NDT
Sorry if this has been asked/discussed before. I am currently trying to look at all alternatives available to me: I am seeing a so called Hertoghe doctor in Belgium and can get a prescription for either Armour or Erfa (the only two NDT drugs available in some Belgian pharmacies). Neither drug is optimal

Valproic Acid
I've just persuaded my neurologist to prescribe me some Valproic Acid. Surprisingly easy, but he'd just said no to Tysabri . Think he just wanted me out of the room . . http://m.hmg.oxfordjournals.org/content/19/10/2005.full Valproic acid induces antioxidant effects in X-linked adrenoleukodystrophy

Calcium deposits under skin?
Hi I've recently been getting more and more calcium deposits (hard lumps) under my skin mainly on my back next shoulders and scalp since being diagnosed at the beginning of the year. Are they linked to hypothyroidism or another autoimmune disease? I'm under rheumatology and having more tests done but

TRH challenge test
Does anyone know where I can get the TRH challenge test done? I am beginning to think my 15 year old son may have a thyroid problem but we thought he had Asperger. Having read an article written by Dr. Raphael Kellman, who says a lot of children with a diagnosis of ASD have a thyroid problem, I would

We've Won!
A little time ago I said that one of our papers was in a competition in a scientific journal for the best paper in there over a 4 year period since the journal started. With your help and support, we have won this competition, and out of 12 papers, ours received over one third of the votes. I take this

Hypothyrodism
Have hypothyrodism and take 30 mg daily of armour. I am very short winded when I climb steps or pull on water hose. I have had heart checked and lungs, which are fine. My T3 is 79ng/dl. T4 is 1.1ng/dl. Vitamin D,25 is 68 ng/ml. Is this good enough.

Is Hydroxocobalamin im suitable for sub cut?
So I finally got to see my gp following the haematologist appointment last Monday and now have my prescription of Ampoules. They state on the box that they are for Im injection but I would prefer to do sub cut as with everything else going on I am not quite confident that I can relax enough to inject

Coil advice please
I had my third lap nearly 5 weeks ago. No Endo had grown back so none was excised but I did have presacral neurectomy (cutting of nerves to uterus) to hopefully help adenomyosis pain. I also had the coil fitted. I started my first period on Monday this week since the lap and this morning I have noticed
