Tens machine for pain relief
Hello, I am new to this forum and I was only diagnosed a few weeks ago. I was wondering if anybody had had any success with TENs machines for pain relief especially during their period? I am thinking of buying a small portable machine from Lloyds pharmacy to give it a go. Many Thanks in advance!

Feeling slightly more cheery today....
After a bit of a whinge on someone else's post last night about the fact it al moves sooooooo slowly... this morning I was bang on 11 stone! Now that may not hold for the weigh-in tomorrow; but it is an overall loss from anywhere I've been (in decades) and not just regaining recently lost ground (battle

Post viral meningitis headaches
This is just a quick question really, how long after you had viral meningitis did the headaches disappear? I've been out of hospital just over a week but it has been three weeks since the symptoms first appeared (I stupidly didn't go to the doctors for 4 days thinking it was just a migraine) and I am

Recently had VM and feeling a little strange about staying off work-reassurance needed
Hi everyone here's a little bit about me, looking for some reassurance really. On Monday 1st Feb 2016 I was rushed into hospital after having a week of headaches that gradually got worse then turned very strong and progressed to having stiff neck, fever and vomitting. I was diagnosed with vital meningitis

Pain worse after nerve block injection
I had a nerve block injection around 3 weeks ago and my pain has been horrendous since then. It's more intense, seems to have spread, flares are pretty much constant and last longer. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks.

bursitis in right hip (trochanteric bursitis)
I have been told I have bursitis in right hip. The pain is unbearable. I started with pain Christmas 2013. It started just above my knee, I saw a doctor in the new year and he put a steroid injection in to my leg and it eased the pain then I started with severe pain in my hip and leg. I went backwards

Is vagus nerve stimulation an effective alternative in children?
A recent study has added to our knowledge that vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) is a safe and efficient treatment for children living with drug-resistant epilepsy who are unable to receive surgery. https://www.epilepsy.org.uk/news/news/vagus-nerve-stimulation-effective-alternative-children-66041
