Early Retirement from Work.
Morning Everyone. I have recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia/chronic pain syndrome. It has taken 4 years to get to this point as I also have spinal degeneration in my neck and lower back which was clouding the symptoms of the fibromyalgia. I had a spinal fusion on C4 C5 & C6 C7 last August but

Different subject. Does anyone have any idea whether a dislocated elbow can return to normal in say 6 - 8 weeks?
On the 13th of January 2020, I fell on black ice 6 doors from my own front door. I fell heavily on what seemed to be my left side but found on trying to move this was nigh on impossible, due to extreme pain in my left elbow. I knew something was seriously wrong as I could not put any weight on it at

stomach ache
Hi can anyone recommend pain relief for stomach ache. I have tried Buscopan which does nothing and today even paracetamol has not worked. I’m not due to see gastro until May but will ask for my GP for something in the meantime. I am constantly in bed with a hot water bottle.

Labour pains that start then stop
Im currently pregnant 38.6 weeks with DS2 had first son at 38.2 weeks. I keep waking in night with contraction pains that last about 30 minutes and feel strong then just stop. Last night was convinced going into labour had loose bowel motion with the pains and took paracetamol. Then they just fizzled

Leg pain management
Hi, I had a laposcopy about 5 years ago and was diagnosed with stage 4 endo. Since then, I have managed any pain with paracetamol and ibuprofen however the pain has been getting worse lately and the pain down my leg from my groin has been unbearable. I’ve had my partner rub my leg and foot, I’ve tried

First Post!
Hello everyone my first post! Was diagnosed with RA at the end of last year so still trying to get my head around the situation! It’s so overwhelming going from “normal” to having a “disease” and living with debilitating pain. As someone who has to question taking a flipping paracetamol I’ve found it

COULD PMR BE A PHENOMENA OF THE GUT?
Hi. I have posted messages here in the past and want to offer a personal opinion on PMR and a possible explanation for how it may be caused. Let me say up front I have no medical training and I am not trying to sell anything. I have simply lived with PMR for 5 years and had it go away once and come back

Pain relief for Migraines after ET

Beta blockers for for healthy individuals
I will try to be brief. 62 year old male, extremely fit. Diagnosed with congenital bicuspid aortic valve in March 2019. Over next few months no symptoms other than an increasing shortage of breath. Blood pressure fine, no pain, no medication. Told I would need to be monitored every 12 months. Late August

24hrs post-lap too good to be true...then bam!
I’m posting again but now, thankfully, with a definitive diagnosis! I had my diagnostic lap on Wednesday and endo was found on both sides (I’d only expected right side based on pain) and in POD. I had an overnight stay but didn’t see the consultant in the morning as he was on a flight somewhere so

Good Morning lovely ladies, omg what I night I had! Awake with my head literally EXPLODING. My dear husband woke up and gave me paracetamol (I usually don’t like taking other meds during 2ww but couldn’t resist 🙈🙈🙈) and now feeling slightly better although still in bed. Thanks to you all I did not

Pain relief for period?!
I have called the nurses at our clinic but waiting for a phone call back so thought I would try here - we are due to start ICSI this month with short protocol. I have come on my period today after taking norethisterone for 6 days, and have my baseline scan booked for tomorrow. I am in agony with my period
