Hi everyone I have have COPD THEN I GOT polymyalgia which meant prednisone for four years on coming of them they found my adrenal glands had hive up so now I have secondary adrenal insufficiency, just to cap it all ,I’ve got peripheral vascular disease, along with stenosis off the spine aren’t I lucky I realise all you guys out there are having your own upsetting problems currently I am on codeine with paracetamol and quite frankly they do nothing and I feel as though my pain is not taken seriously and l don’t know what to do next the spinal stenosis cannot be operated on because of COPD, I really didn’t know how to introduce myself and I don’t want to come across as a winger I just want like all of us to enjoy life thanks for listening. 😎👍🏼

Try and get referred to a pain management clinic, the wait in some areas isn’t that good though. I have many health problems and been on prednisone for 34 years, 5 mg in the latter years. I have Gabapentin for my severe spinal stenosis. As with any drugs you need to speak to your GP regarding suitability for you. X

I have a appointment on 20 /03/20 at pain clinic so not to long to wait I’m 78 this year and I feel a bit left behind, I have had epidural since the past but the last one September last year did not work I’m told by the surgeon I saw that he has decided not to operate on my stenosis because of the COPD bit of a viscous circle really anyway hope you get sorted thanks fo the reply.😎👍🏼

Hi Bess, I was referred to the Severe Spinal MDT after an MRI ordered by pain management, decided injections etc wouldn’t help me in October 2018, they then referred me to a neurosurgeon, who did a CT scan and Flexion X-ray and said I could have an op, I have RA and osteoporosis. This was 1 year ago and I am still waiting. I’ve had 2 Pre meds and two weeks ago another MRI, I wonder now with the covid-19 if I will get a date. I was discharged from pain management in January because, I hadn’t had the op !!! Hopefully you will be given suitable pain relief and offered rehab to manage pain. Thank you for your wishes and I hope you will get some relief soon. X
