Hi, saw SALT guy today. Ralph isn't going anywhere. He's been ringing round last 2 weeks and finally got to speak to the top woman in London. She says what he wants to do wouldn't work. Told him to work on getting the cuff down even if it takes a couple of months. The electric treatment didn't work,

Not sure of next steps after recent endometriosis diagnosis
Hi, I have suffered with heavy periods and pain during sex for years but I was told it was due to fibroids. In December 2020 I had emergency surgery to for a ruptured ovarian cyst. They had to remove my ovary as it was too damaged. Last October I started getting a dull ache down the left side of stomach

Does PMR affect one side of your body more than the other ?
I have only just been diagnosed two weeks ago but I have noticed a distinct difference in how PMR is affecting my RHS more than my left . And how long the steroids are taking to kick in in the morning . I’m doing 5mg at 2am and the rest whenever I wake , normally between 5 and 6 am with no real

Warfarin and Acetaminophen ? Are there any interaction please ?!
Hello, I'm just wondering which pain medications would not interact with Warfarin please? I know anti-inflammatories are not ok. What about Panadol (Acetaminophen/Paracetamol), is this okay to take while being on Warfarin? Appreciate any information you can provide, Many thanks Rosegardens

Getting people to understand your pain
Has anyone else been asked by a paramedic "have you taken paracetamol?" They wouldn't say that to a woman in labour!

Hay fever medicines
I continue to have badly blocked ears and a runny nose for several weeks. I’ve only managed to see paramedics rather than a GP about it. I haven’t used any nasal sprays (other than saline) but would like to try anti-allergy medication such as antihistamine. Yet I’ve read that “A few common stimulating

Reliance on Codeine
Following CABG five weeks ago I still have a lot of pain in my left leg where the vein was removed. I manage this through 2 paracetamol 4 times a day and 1 codeine tablet twice a day, having just reduced from 2 codeine tablets twice a day. This keeps me just on top of the pain. I'm wondering how

Tooth infection - increase prednisolone?

Hospital stay: expecting too much?
Two weeks ago I had a successful shoulder replacement op. When I was taken to ward from recovery, a nurse stressed that I should not hesitate to use the call-button if I needed anything at all. This was particularly important, she said, as I was alone in a side ward and it was difficult for them to spot

I've been plateauing on 2.5mg prednisolone for the last 2 months as we've had lots of visitors and it's been difficult to keep to our normal low key routine . I've felt ok, tried not to overdo things and thought all was under control (as much as that is possible).Last night though I experienced a fleeting
