In so much dental pain

5 30 pm on a sunday cant ring dentist till 9am tomorrow ,taking paracetomol every 4 hours ,it helps a bit ,cant take ibroprofen so its paracetomol ,5 days on metronudazole and it worked untill the 5days dose was up ,what can i do ...most other antibiitics im not aloud ,help please !

Ring NHS 111 and they'll refer you to nearest emergency dentist. I've been there...it's horrible- wish you all the best

It sounds like you need a longer course of antibiotics plus examination to see what exactly is happening. IE is the problem due to gum infection or due to tooth issue.

bevvy im going too the dentists in an hour , i have had a bad fever from a bowel infection so im sure its all linked .

Well he inspected gum which he says is sore but not infected now so the pain is coming from the tooth ,he tapped it ouch but not awful ,used a special mouthwash he then prescribed a high flouride toothpaste only available on prescription 6 tubes as soon i got home pain came back he says take painkilkers until it goes but cant do much else at the moment .he said see u on 14th may but before if u need us .

one thing I found,the best things for dental pain is to rub the whole area with salt or mix salt with a bit of warm water and rub it in gently. Hope this helps

i agree or a salt mouthwash , 30 seconds swill around mouth then spit out , it works

Dental pain is the worst !

[Lanark]

Paracetemol will not really hit the mark with the pain of dental inflammation or abscess. Go straight to Ibuprofen. That works for toothache.

U are right ,had tooth removed so things are better
