Panic buttons and panadol
I've had a pretty good run of not falling over in a good long while, but I ruined that streak yesterday. Ice was everywhere outside on the incredibly treacherous decking (decking so bad the Council wanted to rip it out before I moved in six years ago, but since they didn't exactly offer to put anything

Undiagnosed endometriosis sufferer looking for advice
Hi, this is my first post so I'm not sure if I'm doing this right but I'm looking for some advice. A brief background of my condition starts at 17 when I first complained to my gp about suffering painful periods, they put me on the contraceptive pill which dealt with the issue somewhat for a while, however

No positive test for APS
HI All I am still wondering if I do have APS or not. I am just so sick and in pain all the time, so want a diagnosis so I can get effective treatment. My doctor originally diagnosed me on my symptoms and blood test results. He did not test for APS but the results showed I did have an auto-immune condition

Very inconvenient nose flowing
My wife has been diagnosed with PSP several years ago. Many annoying typical PSP syndroma. One that I do not see discussed very much is an accute problem of nose blowing. As soon as she eats, her nose starts to flow and of course that gets mixed with her food. Terrible; She has been taking Humex one

Citalopram
Hi all. I have just (about a week ago) come off citalopram. When initially prescribed my doctor was unsure about it and kinda left it up to me as he didn't think I was depressed - just really upset. My dad had just passed away and things were just awful with my partner then. Anyway fast forward to now

Post debulking
Lovely ladies, can you tell me how long horrible tummy cramps last after debulking? It's Day 10 and the pain takes my breath away, particularly after eating. I gobble Buscopan and Panadol which don't really do much. Accept that my insides need time to settle but crikey the pain isn't nice ... And I have

Scaredy cat.
Well just to let you know how the scaredy cat got on today. My nice oncologist was extremely positive to me. He is sorting an mri, he suggested tendonitis but not sure really. He prescribed something stronger than panadol for pain. Very bad timing to be honest for me but his reassurance that there

Flu injection
Good morning to all my Pbc family. Just wondering, do you guys take the flu injection every year? And when you do get ill, what do you take for it? The specialist said only to take panadol, but GP gives me anything, so I end up not taking it. Do you take any extra vitamins or immune boosters in the

NSAIDs
This is a follow-up to my aspirin post. The literature on non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug [NSAID] use suggests differential effects on PCa risk. There is not much consistency between the studies. Men who take NSAIDS chronically have a different health profile to those who don't. Even those who

No pain killers help? Help! two weeks of endless pain
Panadol, panadol extra, panadol extra soluble, paracetamol, codeine. In the past I have tried ibuprofen and aspirin but am not allowed that because of stomach ulcers I might have. (those pain killers don't help either anyway) HELP! please. I have had this unbearable pain for two weeks and a day 24/7

Pbc & medication
So, a week ago I had extreme pain in my lower back, but couldn't point out an exact spot. Had to go to A&E and because the drs didn't know about Pbc, they googled it. They called a few other drs, but didn't know what to do. Took bloods and as expected my blood counts were high. They eventually gave me

Sickle Cell Anemia Treatment With Hydroxy Urea
I have been taking Hydroxy Urea (1000mg/day) from last 14 years (2001) and had no transfusions since then. I am 27 years old. The crises have decreased to 3/4 per year which last 3 to 4 days. I usually use Panadol & Nuberol as pain killer and drink plenty of water during pain. I am usually involved

Hi all, Hoping most of you may be able to offer advice on this. I'm 28 and take painkillers/tablets everyday to manage endo and also hyper-mobile joints (specifically my left shoulder). My husband has got a sudden health kick and is jogging and taking vitamins, those pro-biotic (think that's what they're

Dealing with heartbreak
I just had a terrible Shock. I didn't get into med school despite a whole year of struggling and tests and hoping and waiting. I thought maybe after such a tough year I would finally get some good news but this happened to me. Now I have a gap year and all I see is a year full of anxiety and not having

Hurt my shoulder
Well George fell over at 4 o'clock in the morning, tried for ages to get him up, in the end I got him up, went back to bed, woke up with a bad pain in my neck, chest and shoulder, I thought I was having a heart attack, managed to get an app at the doctors, she said I had pulled the mussels in my shoulder
