Tablets, tablets and more tablets...

Hi all,

Hoping most of you may be able to offer advice on this.

I'm 28 and take painkillers/tablets everyday to manage endo and also hyper-mobile joints (specifically my left shoulder). My husband has got a sudden health kick and is jogging and taking vitamins, those pro-biotic (think that's what they're called?) yoghurts and tablets and general exercise.

He's encouraging me to take some pro-biotic tablets, vitamin tablets etc as he has researched their effects on general health and also endo [bless him - he is so sweet... or is sick of my moaning!! ;) ]

My worry is, is that day to day I'm on: Indometacin, Tramadol, Cyclizine, Omaprazole, Ovysmen (The Pill) and intermittently Panadol Night Pain. For some/most of you this might not be much or may not be as strong as what some others take and whilst I know Omaprazole is supposed to help your stomach cope with strong ones (specifically Indometacin) I am worried about the effect it has on my stomach etc. I would really like to try taking vitamin tablets etc but then surely there is a limit to which your body can cope with these? E.g. liver? My GP reassured me as he said there are those on stronger daily tablets to manage severer symptoms and other LTC's such as Arthritus which isreassuring to a degree but still, I am a bit worried.

Indometacin I have everyday to manage my shoulder, then I'd say an average of 2-3 weeks out of a month I'll take tramadol as a top-up to manage a) if I have slept on the shoulder, b) Endo and c) If I have pushed myself too far and my joints go ape.

Does anyone else take supplements/vitamins etc and if so, does it actually make a difference? I'm trying to take up Yoga again but I have to use the ones that strengthen and don't stretch joints too much.. and on days like today when I'm on my period - I can't do anything. So I watch the OH leave for jogging with the dog with much jealousy!

Any words of wisdom would be much appreciated?
