Lump on the top of foot?
Now when I walk if I put any weight on the ball of my foot, the
pain
shoots through to the top where my lump is. I had to take my dad to hospital last week, which involved a lot of walking and I was in so much
pain
with it. It now swells up all puffy if I’m on it a lot.

Chest soreness/pain 13-14 weeks after AVR
Hi fellow HealthUnlocked contributors, I had a mini-sternotomy AVR on 8 May (incl wires). I am 4/8 weeks into my NHS Cardio Rehab clinic and have been easing myself back into exercise with short, non-intensive stepper/cycle at gym and swim - 1 session (30-40mins) each per week. I've been making good

stuck on what to do
I have had excruciating
pain
for 8+ years and I don’t know what to do, they said it’s all in my head but my symptoms just lead to endometriosis. I feel so let down because I have no answers and I feel like I’m being disregarded about my
pain
etc. what can I do so I can get a diagnosis?

Fibromyalgia, Long Covid and hypnotherapy
Howard Schubinerwebsite who said after reading his own book many people recovered if it’s all in our head but if real
pain
and it’s just a case of us learning to deal and cope with it can hypnotherapy help or solve this debilitating extreme
pain
and swelling stiffness and fatigue which restricts everything

Thyroxin and throat/ neck pain
Hi, I’ve been on thyroxin for four weeks now. I’m getting a weird ache in my neck/ throat, like it’s harder to swallow. It’s not painful as such, it just feels weird. Is this normal? Is my thyroid just adjusting to the meds? Thank you

Flares
And lower back
pain
I have now would not be considered a flare! I have also fallen recently as some have read. Which complicates things! I saw a physiotherapist hoping she would help! She was adamant I should not reduce steroids as they would help with the
pain
.

PMR symptoms and Steroid sensitivity and withdrawal
The worst steroid symptoms eased but I continue to feel more
pain
as I reduce. and stayed on 9 mg for two weeks. The GP recommended that I got down to 8 mg and that the
pain
was just my muscles getting used to being used again.

Stopping Rivaroxaban
The community cardiac team has changed me from rivaroxaban to edoxaban as the abdominal
pain
was so bad. I can't get new prescription until later in the week but I stopped the rivaroxaban already, didn't take it yesterday. How long does it take for
pain
to settle after discontinuing ?

FLARE OR LOW CORTOSOLE
Because the
pain
gets worse when I breathe in, cough or sneeze so my thought was pleurisy but that would have shown up in the xray? Am I just being impatient and give the increased dose of pred to work or pay a visit to the doctors? Anyone else experienced
pain
in the mid back with PMR?

Massive flare after 2 years
I began to feel unwell recently with headaches, nausea and fever like symptoms and now I have a lot of
pain
in my neck shoulders, upper arms, thighs, hips and feet. It’s exactly how I started with PMR in 2015. The
pain
is quite different from the joint
pain
I can have with the arthritis.

Edit: Added the elevation profile from said marathon. Its making my knee twinge just looking at it.
Back in the olden days (2022), I ran the Giant's Head Marathon, and my knee hasn't spoken to me since. It was a brutal course with around 1000m elevation gain that took you across an array

Confused about PMR, arthritis and effects of pred.
I am on half mg of pred and recently was discharged by rheumy despite my on- going right knee
pain
- since April - shoulder and hip stiffness and left elbow
pain
. He said it was arthritis. Told to stop pred on 20th June, but I didn't.
