Diaphragm Endo

Hi Everybody,

I was diagnosed through laparoscopy last year with stage 2 pelvic endometriosis, in the past 6 months I’ve started to experience shoulder tip pain, pain under my ribs both sides and left sharp chest pain severe through my period. I have also experienced severe acid reflux. I recently had an MRI scan where they found lesions on both sides of my diaphragm which indicate endometriosis. I have seen my regular gyno who has dismissed this as my pelvic endo wasn’t severe and am now seeking a second opinion. I was wondering if anybody has been diagnosed with diaphragm endo without having severe pelvic endo?

I am in a rock and a hard place as I am feeling so unwell and am not receiving answers.

You need to understand the relationship between the pelvic floor and diaphragm to understand how and why you might be in pain cyclically around the diaphragm and shoulders. They @leah.brueg podcast number 52 I think with Dr Angie Muller

You may also have diaphragmatic endo to boot but both apply.
