Seizure
Welp, Ryan had his first seizure since Father’s Day of 2019. I work at our local hospital, and was at work at the time. He was at home with my 5 year old and luckily our roommate was home as well. So he was assisted. Since it was the first one in a long time I called EMS while I drove frantically back

Fybromyalga
Help my doctor won't give me anything for my fybromyalga because I have been abroad, until I see a consultant but that's at least 12 weeks away. He gave me mirtazapine 3 weeks ago supposedly to help me sleep and for my IBS never heard of so much crap. I've was on everything going last year but had tried

First Period after Failed IVF
Hi all, I have just had my second failed round of IVF. On my first fresh cycle, AF arrived 2 days before I was due to test and my period felt like a regular period. On my second round (FET), on my test day I was very positive as I hadn't yet come on my period, but sadly, it was a BFN and 4 days later

How do you experience pain?
Rather than simply asking "does anybody else experience this?", I thought it'd be more interesting to open the question up and ask everybody to describe how you experience pain if you're inclined. The reason I ask is I'm always flummoxed at the oncology office when they ask me about pain and want me

Oral mouth swab needed as per new guidelines for us on high level pain medication.
Has anyone else in Scotland been requested by GP to get an 'Oral mouth swab?' I don't understand why?

Back pain and PMR
Hello. I have posted a few times over the past 9 months, but mostly I just check in every few days to keep up to date. I have found the information shared on this site so very helpful, thank you. A question please: does anyone else have severe pain in their lumber region, which Pred does not reach, nor

MRI
Doc sent me for an MRI when The pains in my legs were getting worse, just got the results. It seems there are two disc issues and the report mentions stenosis plus other stuff. One on the left side 3 up is bulging, this can be left and should settle with time and exercise. The other is the bad one, bottom

For months now I have bees struggling more and more with muscle pain, it generally starts in my left hip and has been getting worse and spreading up and down my entire back. Terrible pains
Hello everyone I've stopped taking estrofem tablets and crinone gel 2 days ago after my failed ivf, now I'm having these terrible pains that seem like menstrual cramps but they are too severe. What could be the cause and how can I treat them cause pain killers aren't working?

Cant seem to win!
Fed up. My doctor rang last night (a first when not a booked consult) My blood results back. Iron and ferritin levels have improved. Vitamin D dropped again ? Main reason she rang was my cholesterol is the highest it's ever been . Ratio just within norm . So something I feel I cant win. By eating

Chalazion after injection - how long should we leave it after shot before using hot compresses?
Hi guys, I had my lucentis shot last Tuesday (and a very scratchy shot it was too - my worst in two years). I have a repeated chalazion that comes up on the lid of that eye, and it's in the process of flaring now. Has anyone been given guidance on how long we should leave using microwavable compresses

Bracelet
I’m awaiting an appointment with a clinic my doctor has referred me but I’ve been told because of the pandemic it could be about 25 weeks wait. My hands wrists and shoulders are getting quite painful and I’m just wondering if it’s worth getting a magnetic bracelet which I’ve seen advertised are they

Positive laparoscopy experience
Just thought I’d share my experience for others who are waiting and worried. Of course everyone is different so it’s to be taken with a pinch of salt. I was very nervous before thinking of all the bad things but like a lot of people have said, it was fine. Dare I say I even enjoyed parts of it. Wouldn

I am new here...and have questions :)
Hello, I hope everyone is having a lovely Christmas. I would like some advice if possible. I have been thinking for more than a year if I could have endometriosis. I always had pain when I was on my period, not much but I always had to take a painkiller to get through it but I think that is normal.
