Slowly I am Recovering!

Hi, my heart ache journey started on 29 July 20 and after CT Angio tracing 2 blocks in LAD was put on table for Angioplasty! Ended up with (85 and 50% blockage-2 DES Abbot Xience Prime Stents)

Post stents put on Nebivolol, Statins, Plavix, Renola, Famotidine, aspirin. After that nightmare started ! Chest pains which got me in Emergency 3-4 times. Finally landed in hospital 4 weeks post stents in hospital with hypoglycemia/ thoraids/ too high blood pressure, anxiety and dizziness. Was unable to even go to washroom. Same situation till 30 Sept. My chest muscles use to ache so much was on IV pain killers ! Morning and night.

Got fed up and Changed my cardiologist all medicines were changed by him except Plavix and aspirin. He added Danshen Pills Which he says its magical cure for all heart issues. Slowly things got better started walking and by end Nov started my office on- line and 2-3 Km walking every day. Had ETT on 1 Jan with 90% heart rate during test. Only problem I face is dizziness for which doc has give serc tablet.

Yesterday its 25 weeks post stents. Went to doctor with low BP and my Doctor stopped Norvasc, Telmisartan, Plavix and due to low BP advised only1.25 mg Nebivolol, Danshen pills and Aspirin. Hurray , he says I am normal and can stop my DAPT as its 6 months now. My cholesterol is fine but triglycerides are high so have started with Fenofibrate from today. After stopping plavix will use fish oil also in a day or so.

From 12-14 tablets perday to only 2-3 in 4 months. I feel a better but get tired very soon (only problem is dizziness which I guess is an effect of Plavix) will wait for 7-10 days to see doctor again. BP is fluctuating after stopping medicines but mostly remains on lower side sometimes 125/84 for an hour or so in evenings.

Fingers crossed 🤞🏼! Thank you all for supporting and I wish you all early and complete recovery. By the way I have started believing in Danshen Pills. No side effects its herbal and I attribute my speedy recovery to this pill.

Hi there . I had my stents done as emergency 3 yrs ago next month. Didnt have any of your problems thankfully. Meds have had no unwanted side effects. Since then I've had four abdominal operations including cancer and.my bp is all over the place and I have frequent SVTs. But I'm in my late 70s, shielding and take each day as it comes. Does it get better? As long as I occupy myself, walk every day for 30mins, eat properly and have faith. In God, in the NHS, and in myself. Keep safe.

Thanks! Medicines play severe effects on me two days back started fenofiberate couldn't bear the headache, bloating and dizziness have to discontinue. Can live with high triglycerides but can't stand the side effects. I stopped all medicines and got my BP under control through 1/2 glass of pomegranate juice every day it took 2 months but now only take 1.25 Nebivolol to wean it gradually. Its delicious and no side effects. But remember to grind with only removing the outer thick peel. Rest all goes in juice.
