What is consensus on fenbendazole and metformin in terms of treating prostate cancer as of 2021?
Gleason 4+3, PSA 7.8, T2C M59 (my father). Looking for different ways to treat his prostate cancer including non-orthodox like Fenbendazole and metformin. What evidence we have as of 2021 to efficacy of these treatments? Even if anecdotal?

Do medium-chain triglycerides downregulate mTOR?
I ran across some info about MCTs turning off mTOR and amping up AMPK (possibly resulting in an increase in autophagy and also lipolysis). Does anyone have any info on whether or not MCTs are potentially beneficial for prostate cancer?

Ivermectin for Cancer
I picked up a little Ivermectin for its possible anti-Covid-19 properties. Maybe I should take it for PC? The mechanism discussed is above my pay grade, and it certainly seems unlikely that it is effective against all or most cancers. Highlights Ivermectin effectively suppresses the proliferation and

In a panic! Has anyone heard of these?
After a few years of heavy bleeds, now under control with the pill, this past few weeks I had symptoms of stabbing pain (nearly fainted twice) in my pelvis and a very achy back I went for a private scan. NHS so busy atm and I was torturing myself. So the sonographer report states 2 possible causes. Degenerating

Incontinence Suggestions
There are a few things you could inquire about to help you both get better sleep: As my mom’s PSP progressed and she could no longer use the commode independently, she stopped consuming any liquids after dinner and trialed a bladder medication to reduce her incontinence, while wearing comfortable pull

We are getting near the incontinence stage
My lovely wife is terrified of, but getting indications of, incontinence. So far one or two 'accidents' but an increased demand on me to get her to the toilet. The worst part is in the night, she has for some weeks now been unable to get to the commode unaided after several disastrous falls. She now

More on natural inhibitors of P13K/AKT, also a reference to PTEN reactivation
Just wanted to add a few more P13K/AKT inhibitors to the list in LearnAll's excellent post. As none of the epigenitic pathways are completely isolated, from the nuclear receptors outside the cells(of which AR is one), to the chromatin changes they induce when transported inside the cell's nucleus, to

Scan today revealed a part fluid part mass in uterus
After a few years of heavy bleeds, now under control, this past few weeks I had symptoms that pointed towards UTI and then IBS. 4.5yr old son so inconsistent using the toilet
My son is 4.5yrs old. He is very inconsistent with using the toilet. Some days he can be dry all day and others has 3 or more accidents both wee and poo. He doesn't say he needs to go very often, but usually knows and says he has to when he has no bottoms on. It doesn't bother him if his pants are wet

Ipatasertib+abiraterone effective in men with PTEN-loss
As genomic breakdown continues in prostate cancer metastases, PTEN, a tumor suppressor gene, and the protein it makes, is often lost. PTEN deletion is common even early (18% of prostatectomy samples). Without PTEN, the cancer cell signals proliferation with a chemical called AKT. Ipatasertib inhibits

Understanding the Abscopal Effect and its Potential Role in Developing a Cure for Cancer-Part 2-Possible Ways to Ensure the Abscopal Effect
In my introduction on the abscopal effect, we left off with the concepts of ensuring the effect and lastly, prolonging the effect. At his time, I would like to review possible ways to ensure/expand the abscopal effect. In the article, they discussed using GM-CSF during treatment. GM-CSF is Granulocyte-macrophage

Understanding the Abscopal Effect and its Potential Role in Developing a Cure for Cancer-Part 1
Greetings FPC members, One of the more intensely studied phenomenon in cancer research has been the abscopal effect. As a true believer in SBRT and the abscopal effect, I have faced posters questioning the existence and benefits of the effect via SBRT in treating PCa. But what is the abscopal effect
