Why can't I get Prostate SBRT when I'm metastatic?
I've been on ADT for about 5 years and through standard radiation to Cervical and Thoracic vertebrae (thoracic vertebrae now collapsed). I've been through Xofigo series and a month after that finished, had more Mets than I started with. Seems like the bone is left in a weakened state and CTCs repopulate

When is Provenge indicated?
My husband's doctor has not recommended, and declined our request for, any additional drugs like Zytiga because he has not demonstrated metastases, but we intend to find another doctor. We plan to try to get an appointment with Dr. Sartor at Tulane. I've only recently read about Provenge and I would

Anyone taking Pycnogenol for Endometriosis?
Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone was taking Pycnogenol supplement (French Maritime pine extract) for their endometriosis? I’ve just come across it online and they say it can help relieve pain & symptoms and is also safe to take whilst ttc! Sounds rather good but wondered if anyone had any

Ductal PCA - Avoid T.U.R.P. and Self Cath
I have serious pissing problems with this cancer and after DX last fall, a TURP was done in December. From that sample, pathology determined this beast to be a Ductal PCA, a very aggressive cancer. Pissing problems returned in March, and the answer was to perform another TURP. Radiation Doc

Frequent UTIs
I have been having frequent UTIs. I can currently get a catheter in so my urologist suggested using one twice a day. He thought my frequent UTIs might be because I never completely empty my bladder and the stagnant mess breeds infection. So the questions are: Does this make sense? I just got a one dose

Elective prostate removal
Ok, enough of the badgering me about my statement that if I were a man, I’d elect to have me prostate removed BEFORE finding cancer. So please everyone stop with your comments. I’m a woman was just stating something, even if not reality. Sure didn’t mean to offend anyone. Arg! Please don’t be mean. I

Elective prostate removal
I’m a spouse of someone with recurrent prostate cancer and I was just thinking if I were a man, I would elect to have my prostate removed even before any signs of cancer, even if I had to take out a loan or mortgage my house. If insurance would pay for prostate removal before signs of cancer, sure would

All clear after EMDA with Mitomycin
Hi everyone Just wanted to share some good news. I’ve been having EMDA with Mitomycin treatment for the past few months ( initially once a week x 6 then 3 months break then monthly x6). On Monday I had a cystoscopy and NMP test and I’m NED. Very happy as this makes a year tumour free. Yay. I hope you

Radiation cystitis and blood clotting straight after having the Astra Zeneca jab
After zapping mets as treatment over the last few years about a year ago I developed radiation cystitis. Most of the bleeding came while urinating during a bowel movement or after. It’s flowed easily, however, after having gotten my Astra jab it clotted up and became difficult to start the urinating

Can radiation cause kidney pain?
Started getting a sharp pain in my kidney and/or lower back a few hours after my radiation therapy today. Don't know if it is related to the therapy or not and I didn't find anything about this online but since we have pros here, I figured I'd ask the question here.
