I/ v antibiotics
I’m about to start a 2 week course of self administration antibiotics , I work in a school and I have been told I should be able to have a normal day despite having a line in my arm, had anyone else had this , how did it effect your day to day life?

Wk1R3; To run or not to run? Poorly kids and rubbish weather.
Week 1 r3 scheduled for today. Weather is totally pants and my little boy is poorly. Debating - do I dust off my rower and use the programme as interval training or do I get a sitter and run anyway? Don’t like leaving my kids when they’re poorly. Only a sniffle and a sore throat but he’s such a mummy

At home syringing = ringing?
Hey all, For most of 18 yrs alive, I've been pretty sensitive to most sounds due to ASD. about 2 weeks ago, I was in bed and all of a sudden noticed a loud humming (not sure which ear) that was slightly high pitched. I instantly assumed the worst and thought it was tinnitus or hyperacusis. after seeing

Meningitis recovery
Hi all, so glad I found this site, after reading many posts about recovery and after effects of bacterial meningitis I realise I have been hard on myself in thinking I should be further on in recovery, but 8 months on from discharge from hospital I am just beginning to get out with the aid of a walker

Not A Good Day
Today is one of those days where you just don’t feel right. I’m not sure what is going on. For one thing just took my blood pressure it is 178/126. However I do have malignant hypertension, and medication will not control it. My BP may be normal one day and extremely high the next. Doctors say the Lupus

TEVA Levothyroxine
I have heard others say that different brands of Levothyroxine, have different fillers in them, which can cause side effects. I have recently been given the Teva brand instead of Almus. I don’t know if it is a coincidence but I have felt much more lethargic and hot flushes since this change. Any thoughts

What is the likelihood that my tinnitus is temporary?
Probably a common question but I can't help but ask. I have only had this problem for 4 or 5 days, I have an appointment to see an ENT later this month but I'm already starting to go mad. Googling tinnitus brings up waves of stories of people who've resigned themselves to this nightmarish thing. Can't

Tinnitus in my left ear
I woke after a nap 4 days ago and my left ear felt clogged and it was buzzing kind of. So 2 days after that I went to an ent and I had a lot of ear wax in my left ear and so he microsuctioned it out, but the tinnitus didn’t go away. He then did a auditory test and one frequency in my left ear had mild

Dizziness just so hard to ignore, and accept...
I try very hard every day to use all the advice and tools to work with my anxiety. The dizziness is wearing me down... It's so hard to convince myself that I'm ok... This symptom is not the little voice whispering " what if"... It's screaming " there has to be something wrong!! " again thanks for all

Had a great couple of days!
Just had a lovely night away in a nice hotel in Kent (a Travelzoo half price deal - £79 for two, lovely evening meal and full English breakfast - bargain!) and we were lucky with the weather so spent the second day looking around Chartwell (National Trust) - home of Winston Churchill. All very interesting

Question for everyone about diagnosis of MS
What was effected by your first exacerbation? Mine was my hearing and "dizziness" or clouded feeling in my head. I always had ear infections since I was a child, so my ENT doctor was the first one I went to.
