Scalp pain and strange sensations
Can anyone please help me. I have been having extremely sensitive scalp issues for such a long time, had visits to dermatologist and had a biopsy which didn’t show anything and concluded it was a dysesthesia (an abnormal sensation of the scalp). I cry when I wash my hair because it hurts so much and

thyroid and tinnitus
hi all, I believe tinnitus can be caused by low thyroid levels, I’m currently changing meds to levothyroxine & liothyronine (was on levo & NDt). I’ve had tinnitus for multiple years - has anyone else cleared the tinnitus when their thyroid levels were optimised? Any other advice to alleviate the

Hope everyone is doing ok! My tinnitus has remained louder since Covid and my vertigo/dizziness is still lurking, but the latter still better than it was a year ago so that’s something. I recently had a follow-up phone appointment with my audio vestibular consultant and although my original diagnosis

panic attack and signed off work
having felt like I was making some strides again back to acceptance and habituation I woke in the night with my T worse than ever. When I moved to the spare room to play some sound therapy and realised it no longer was able to mask my T because of its new loudness I had a panic attack. Having never had

Coping with a Vestibular Disorder
‘Supermarket Syndrome’ For many people with a vestibular disorder, a trip to the grocery store can turn into a battle with dizziness. The lights, rows of shelves, and crowds of people can trigger symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, and light-headedness. If this is something you struggle with, this

Curcumin
Hello, I have read on this forum that taking curcumin is excellent for inflammation. Does anyone know if taking curcumin thins the blood or increased your risk of a bleed? I am on warfarin and monitor my blood and dosage weekly. I looked up contra indications to curcumin, which did say taking warfarin

Attended clinic today not good news but not as bad as I thought, amimia is getting worse, spleen enlarged, to see him again in 6 weeks instead of 6 months. However I am feeling much better lung infection gone, starting to breath normally again so swings and roundabouts.

benralizumab (fasedra)
I am keen to hear of experiences with benralizumab including side-effects and the length of time it’s remained effective (or whether it stopped working after a while). Also whether it has enabled people to come off oral steroids and bronchodilators. I was diagnosed with severe eosinophilic asthma,

Ivermectin helps me tremendously with Pfiesteria the marine parasite condition PLUS Lyme
I am beginning to understand why as I navigate your helpful site. The nerve component and the brain component. I just wonder if I can find any others out there who are battling these two conditions or who has Pfiesteria parasite infection. I want to share that ivermectin has controlled, not cured

How do we know which disease is causing it? To cut a long story short , I have been seen by a neurologist to investigate the peripheral neuropathy from my diagnosis of pernicious anaemia. Hi all, I'm new to this part of HU.Does anyone get dizziness and balance problems with tinnitus (one sided only) Have been under the ENT department and they were not very helpful, this was 3 to 4 years ago. Air Travel and Tinnitus
I may need to fly for a few hours and am concerned about increasing tinnitus. I have flown in the past and had ear pain. In addition I suffer from motion sickness which probably has to do with inner ear issues. I travel to the mountains a couple times annually and have trouble releasing the pressure

Suspected B12 deficiency and about to start SI
Hi everyone, I’ve had ID anaemia (microcytic hypochromic) for over 20 years and was told by a GP many years ago that this was due to malabsorption. I’ve had hypothyroidism since 2014, long covid for the past 2 years, and a vax injury from March 2021 that is only just being investigated by rheumatology

Hearing loss and tinnitus
Hello, This is my first post here. Hope you’re all doing well. I’ve had repeated ear infections and persistent fluid behind the ear. I’ve got a scan coming but since losing hearing a little in that ear I’ve started to get more regular tinnitus. Any tips? All welcome! Thanks.
