I am keen to hear of experiences with benralizumab including side-effects and the length of time it’s remained effective (or whether it stopped working after a while). Also whether it has enabled people to come off oral steroids and bronchodilators.
I was diagnosed with severe eosinophilic asthma, out of the blue, earlier this year when I was very ill but doctors could not pinpoint what was wrong. During the summer, I had vastly improved and was able to lead a normal life on Fostair 200 plus ciclesonide and at that time, I turned down the ‘offer’ of benralizumab as I seemed to continue improving and was concerned that this medication has not been around all that long and they were saying I would be on it for life. However, now the dust mite are back I’m again struggling and my peak flow is down. I should probably take oral steroids now-ish. I have a hospital appointment next week and I’m wondering whether I should ask for benralizumab, if still on offer.
Thanks in advance for any info you can share

Hi, I have been on bendrazmabs for a year now. It does seem to be helping but I am still weaning off prednisolone. I am down to 3mg per day and now have to have bloods done to see if my cortisol levels are good to try to go down to 2mg.So on the whole I would say give them a go 😀
Hi, I started Fasenra recently after being on Nucala, which I had to stop because of side effects. the Fasenra is doing something similar and I don't know I will continue. However despite that I would recommend you give it a go, it seems to suit most people and I am beginning to feel a bit unlucky!
