I have
osteopenia
and decided that life goes on and that I need to do what I enjoy, so I hike and go to the gym and swim in the sea. I have read with increasing angst, about people having fractures whilst exercising.

Prolia and Blood Disorder
My next Dexa scan showed improvement to
osteopenia
. However, I developed a blood disorder called Thrombocytopenia meaning I make too many platelets…… diagnosed December of 2018 after my two years of Prolia shots. I am now on a chemo pill the rest of my life.

CTX score
HI, I've lowered my Dexa results in a year (but still higher than 5 years ago) All areas are in
osteopenia
now with spine being the worst at -2.1. I didn't realize you shouldn't change machines so last year it was -2.9 but I think that was part error.

was it the wrong time to take myself off ibandronic acid?
I wasn’t given a dexa scan when first prescribed them 5 years ago and when I did get a scan earlier this year I had
osteopenia
, not uncommon at my age, but perhaps the ibandronic acid was maintaining it at this level!

Prostap and Hrt
They have said I must stop the prostap immediately as the scan has shown I now have
osteopenia
from the prostap. There was no mention of what to do about my hrt. Should I continue to take it until I see the consultant on 6th? I’m not sure what to do for the best.

prolia and Actemra.
I asked if it was
osteopenia
and she said, no. It is osteoporosis. I cant have another scan until two years after the last one as insurance will not pay for it. I have been on prednisone for 18 months now and am just now reducing to to 5.5 mg prednisone and am on monthly infusions of Actemra.

Will Alendronic Acid affect my RLS?
I have
Osteopenia
and have been advised to start taking Alendronic Acid to prevent me developing Osteoporosis but am worried it might make my RLS worse. I take Requip and seem to have it under control.

osteoporosis or osteoarthritis
My hip went from osteoporosis to
osteopenia
, so that my bone density got so much worse in my spine requires more investigation I think. Can anyone speak to the likelihood of osteoarthritis making my DEXA score inaccurate? Thank you!

Questions and Advice Needed
(A dexa showed
osteopenia
and osteoporosis in my spine, none in my hip, but I heard that doesn’t cause pain?) Does this all sound like PMR? Or might something else be going on? Do I need to go back up to 10 mg. for 2 weeks and re-assess?

Saliva Cortisol results, the investigation continues...
I have 'lean' PCOS and
osteopenia
plus the host of symptoms we are all familiar with. I'm investigating possible central hypo due to lowish normal TSH, T4 and T3, no signs of antibodies. Thyroid ultrasound showed no irregularities, just a few small cysts consistent with age.

Questions about taking Alendronate (Fosomax) and hydroxyeurea
After having a physical and a bone scan my gp just recommended taking alendronate for
osteopenia
. I walk 3 miles a day and work out. I have concerns about doing this especially with taking hydroxy. I have a friend whose femur fractured after using Fosomax.
