Update: The Squeaky Wheel (heard fr Neuro)
I do have
osteopenia
, but of course can't take AA. I do take 4000 D3 and also K2. CRP was 1.1. I suggested that the higher Pred might have lowered it. He does not "think" that cranial GCA is evident (although he sounded kind of unsure; out of his "wheelhouse", but is not neurological?).

Referrals??
(Spinal Fracture,
Osteopenia
, Fatigue, bone, joint and and muscle pain as well as general sick feeling. I have discussed on two occasions with my MO, and he is NOT receptive to e2 patch at all. He claims the cardio risks are still present like with oral estrogen.

Update on Dexa scan
Thankfully I haven't got osteoporosis but as a lot of you suggested I have
osteopenia
. I have been prescribed alandronic acid as some of you are.

Newly Diagnosed
I was diagnosed with
Osteopenia
in July of 2018. I was told to continue with Vitamin D and Calcium daily. It did absolutely nothing. After doing some research, and with the numbers I had, I should have definitely been scanned again before 3 years/3 months later.

E2 Patch
In that time I've developed
osteopenia
, and have suffered an "Osteoporotic" compression fracture to the t11 vertebra, even though I've been receiving XGEVA, and taking Calcium Citrate, D3, and Multi vitamins as directed.

Please may I get your thoughts on 2nd round of thyroid tests?
I started taking HRT in April 2023 as on top of everything else I was getting some perimenopausal symptoms and also because
osteopenia
was diagnosed – am still trying to get the dose right. Long standing use of antidepressants and poor mental health episodes. Fibromyalgia diagnosis 2016.

How to nurture bone health
Over time, this can lead to
osteopenia
and eventually osteoporosis. *Increase calcium rich foods - dark leafy greens, tahini/sesame seeds, natural yoghurts, sardines, eggs. Squeezing lemon juice onto kale, collard greens and broccoli for example, helps increase vitamin C uptake. *Vitamin D.

Osteoporosis and HRT
I was diagnosed 3 years ago with
osteopenia
which has now progressed to osteoporosis, though frankly my recent DEXA report is so unclear that I'm waiting for word from my doctor to interpret it. My question is about hormone replacement and osteoporosis. I've been listening to podcasts with Dr.

Stopping Omeprazole
I was told by my GP to come off omeprozole because I now have
osteopenia
and also i've been taking 20mg every morning for over 10 years. I reduced it to 10mg over the past 2 weeks and now stopped it completely on Sunday. I understand there is a "rebound effect" for a few weeks.

Apparently my dexa scans had been showing
osteopenia
then osteoporosis since 2014! When I informed him that no one had told me or mentioned treatment he left extremely angry, leaving me in tears and having no idea how this was happening to me.

Just a little rant
A couple of years after that, I was diagnosed with
osteopenia
and the rest is history. So, 3 months ago I started a gym and lifting again. So far so good. I will never go on any medications. I cannot even take an aspirin, it really messes with my system.

osteopenia, Hashimotos and sjogrens
hi, my rheumatologist has prescribed Adcal and Alendronic acid. Due to oesphagitis because of Sjögren’s I don’t want to take Alendronic acid. Through research and the help of thyroid UK I now take vitamin D3 MK2 and magnesium. Pains in my chest which used to feel like a heart attack have cleared up since

Does anyone take NDT at night?
Thanks I know taking calcium is not ideal but I don’t have a choice as I have
osteopenia
and without a supplement my calcium levels drop too much.

I’ve read too high vitamin D can cause brittle bones and I’ve got
osteopenia
and vitamin D has stopped my chest pains. I take magnesium and that’s reaching top of normal and I take omega 3.

Clenil - what is a high dose?
My breathing is mostly fine but following a fall I broke my wrist and have recently been diagnosed with
osteopenia
, I also bruise very easily. Some info suggests there’s a link with high doses but I’m don’t know if 800mg per day is high, my GP says I should stay on the 200 but I’m worried now.

New to running
I recently had a dxer scan which showed up
osteopenia
, quite common in a lady of 66 but wanted to know how I could halt the progression and, to my surprise, the doctor’s face lit up when I mentioned taking up running, and highly recommended it! So here I am just beginning W4C25K.

osteopenia worse, im on enoxaparin/ lovenox any thoughts on vitk2?
I had repeat dexascan says my hips are getting worse, anyone on enoxaparin/lovenox taking vit k2 for “calcium to bone absorption”? Docs are talking about fosamex, etc, but I would rather do vitamins if possible. Not looking for medical advice but would like to know if others with APS are taking it
