Osteopenia

Found Thyroid UK as having issues with GP+a year ago saw private Endo who informed me Dexa results (-1.3 neck of femur, -1.9 lumbar spine) meant I had osteopenia. From another forum user heard of Bone balance which I started about 2 months ago.

Recently had a scan and have been diagnosed with osteopenia. Doctor prescribed Fosamax. Sounds like phosphate. Is ot compatible with CK 3b?

My dexa scan shows osteopenia, I guess it was inevitable. I am going gym regularly now and can manage an hour Pilates. Anyone got any diet tips, am taking vit D.

I was diagnosed with osteopenia 4 years ago and have been on 70mg Alendronic acid once a week and calcium carbonate +vit D since then. I have not had any indication from my doctor about what happens next, but will ask for some shortly.

I have recently had a bone density scan which is in the osteopenia levels but I am 71. I don't really know what happens to the fibrosis after the sct. Has anyone with MF had fractures etc that doctors say may have been exacerbated by the mpn?

Before being diagnosed with PMR, I was diagnosed with osteopenia. I am currently on 20mg per day of steroids. I’m taking calcium, Vit D and Vit K2. Does anyone have any advice on what else I could or should be doing?

The scan has shown significant osteopenia with a T-score of -2.4 in the femoral neck. The rheumatologist calculated my FRAX score, My major fracture risk is 21% and hip fracture risk 6.9% in the next 10 years. I am on 6mg prednisolone presently, which increases the risk of fracture.

A chat with the doctor's nurse and the diagnosis of of osteopenia. Osteopenia is the first stage before osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is when you break bones by falling. I fall now and then but it's because of peroneal nerve entrapment. The peroneal nerve lifts my toes.

It said L2 spine t score -2.6 .and there is a section which says’technical comment-pls see the L spine results sheet’ The separate mailed letter from hospital said my results are -1.8 therefore osteopenia. Can osteopenia improve after a few years? Can I have osteoporosis in just one part?

My rheumatologist has suggested I take biophosphonates for my osteopenia , but wait 4 months after the implant to start treatment. My question is has anyone had an implant with theses conditions and has there been any issues with the implant?

I’ve just had a repeat DEXA scan after 5 years. My T scores are spine -0.9 (no change), hip -1.2 (previously-1.4). Femeral neck -2.5 (previously -2.2). Had a bone scan and found I have osteopenia. I am taking a calcium citrate with vitamin D. Also once per week Alendronate 70mg. Has anyone else been in the same boat? Thanks
