Have I got a bitch?
There is a pending lawsuit in Ohio, against Purdue, and Jannsen, the drug dealers who provide our country with the opioids that are killing our kids. Jannsen also makes Zytiga, which is what I am on. I will continue taking my Zytiga until I see my Onc on 5/8. That's it. If my insurance won't cover another

Something for neuropathic pain.
I've read a couple of posts elsewhere on HU that mentioned something for neuropathic pain and it persuaded me to give it a go. I took 1 600mg capsule of alpha-lipoic acid https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Alpha-Lipoic-Acid-Antioxidant-Supplements/Swanson-Ultra-Alpha-Lipoic-Acid-600mg-Capsules/B002718LNI/ref

Some of the time early on I felt truly awful, so decided not to post until I had time to settle down and give a proper account (I didn't want to worry anyone about to have the procedure). I read an earlier post on this topic that is quite a few years old. I've

A newbie with worries about dental treatment!
Hi all - my name is Liz and I am quite new to this forum and also to AF so up to now I have been lurking in the background hoovering up all the advice and information. Today I managed to floss half a tooth out, leaving just the other half with its filling - good news is that this tooth has a root canal

It's been a journey
Hi I'm new. But not new to fibromyalgia. Diagnosed 15 years ago. Now diagnosed with osteoarthritis pretty much everywhere. Greatest challenge besides the obvious has been medications. Lyrica? I'm allergic. Cymbalta? Makes me bitchy. Elavil? Made me gain 15 lbs which makes pain worse. Gabapentin? Makes

Bisphosphonate research
Just heard on BBC news that new research justifies some scepticism on the efficacy of bisphosphonates in combating bone decay. Also casts some doubt on the reliability of dexascans for accurate monitoring. Research (from Harwell) was largely focused on osteoporotic patients but should be of interest

Dental treatment with PAF and on Rivaroxaban?
Hi everyone, I added my new medical details (PAF & Rivarixaban) to my dental records and now my dental surgery has said I can't have my regular hygienist appt and dental check up until they have written confirmation that my condition and meds don't require any special precautions. (For instance, they

Dental work while on Leflunomide
I am taking currently 8mg Predisone and 10mg Leflunomide Arava and feel very well with it. Now I need to extract the last upper tooth because I have an inflammation under the crown.
