Prostap 3 and FET

Hello.

Any ladies out there had the Prostap 3 for 12 weeks before your FET.

After the check scan did you have to wait for your period to try again or were you just started on oestrogen?

Jenny x

Hi.

How did you get on with the Prostap. I hated very minute il be honest.

Just started on oestrogen for my third IVF cycle. Unfortunately had two miscarriages at 7 weeks.

Fingers crossed the Prostap has helped x

Hi Hallj10 i bloody hated the stuff. It has completely killed my sex drive (and no wonder as they also use this stuff to treat sex offenders, no joke, it’s an anti libidinal)!

Hated the hot flushes which I got really badly and which really, really interfered with my sleep.

On the plus side it got rid of any evidence of endometriosis on the MRI scan. So of course achieved the objective.

I’m planning a frozen transfer for next Thursday so started my progesterone yesterday…. It’s so hard managing all my meds because I’m on more than just the fertility meds and the oestrogen and thyroxine that I take impact on my thyroid levels :( anyway, had bloods done yesterday so will see what my consultant says. Good luck x

Sorry just seen this first message.

Yes I felt the same but single so it didn't have so much of a effect on me ha.

Hot flushes were they worst. I have now swapped hot flushes for nausea on the oestrogen.

I will see what my scan shows Friday to see how the lining is doing. Last time i took a good 2 weeks before i was ready for FET. I have long cycles, usually 33 days.

Imagine il have FET week commencing 27 Sept.

I have to be on a blood thinner this time with the progesterone. I developed synchronic haematomas my last two pregnancies. That may have also caused the miscarriage.

I wish I had a repeat MRI to see how the adenomyosis had shrank. x

Just re-read your message. How far into your FET are you? Maybe we’ll have a similar testing date? Sorry to hear about your miscarriages. Must have been so hard. I’m really struggling with the IVF process it’s really hard going. X

So I am technically day 4 now. Been back on oestrogen for 3 days. Scan again Friday to see how my lining is thickening.

Yeah its a difficult journey to be on. Fingers crossed its third time lucky and the prostat 3 has worked.

Let me know how you get on, good luck xx

Not prostap but I was on Zoladex for 4 months before a fresh cycle. I went straight on to stimulation without having a bleed. I would guess it depends on what your lining measures at your baseline scan as to whether they make you wait for a bleed or not x
