JBC19, advice needed urgently. Scleroderma, severe itching
She is using
Oilatum
on her skin but it's only reducing the symptoms slightly. My sister and I are very concerned about her mental state. She breakdowns down crying nearly every day and can't cope with the smallest of problems without having a meltdown.

My GP swapped my steroid and i started bathing in
Oilatum

Eczema toddler
I also use
oilatum
bath additive in his bath and avoid using any shampoos when his skin is. He did have a milk allergy but has been brilliant tolerating milk products and has been for the past 6 months. His eczema has been brilliant for # long time prior to these past couple weeks.

Emollients - Epimax instead of Diprobase
The formulary now lists Epimax as the first choice alternative to Aproderm, Aqueous cream, Aquamax, Diprobase cream, E45 cream,
Oilatum
cream, ZeroAQS and Zerobase. Hydromol cream is still listed, and is the formulary's preferred alternative to Zeroderm.

Skin rash on bottom
So long as i use
oilatum
, I don't have a problem. I know these areas don't like steam, or sweat, when I had an operation on my skull just the sterile gauze and sweat cause very angry reaction. This problem doesn't feel the same as psoriasis.

Day 2 Cold Turkey from steroid creams
I also have a cupboard full of emollients, E45,
Oilatum
, Cetraben - you name it I have it! I've found that if I don't TOUCH, I don't itch and consequently don't scratch. Easier said than done of course as I'm sure any eczema sufferer knows.
