Some of you have been very kind in responding to my questions and I thank you very much.I saw my G.P today and one thing that made me laugh when she went on line to look up symptoms she came on to this site for the info.Anyway she is sending me to the London hospital of excellence now to see Prf Farida Fortune.Still have fingers crossed we arewrong but I don`t think so.Did find one lotion that has given some relief you all know when things are bad down below how painful having a wee is.I bought some Junior Oilatum and I can put that on and not hit the roof when nature calls. Thanks agin for being so welcoming.xxx

Hi Hun,

I hear you regarding the painful subject of genital ulcers. Lol.

You can get a small water spray that attaches to the cold water pipe behind the toilet that is called a WUDU spray. Many cultures in the Asian communities use it for sanitary purposes and they only cost around £10 and are easy to fit. To look at it has a spray attachment that is operated by a trigger in one hand and the connecting pipe is the same as you see on showers. Not only will this give you much needed relief when you pee and use it at the same time but it is great to clean the loo as well ! Lol.

Have a look of the usual auction sites like Ebay. They have a good range and im sure you will find something to your taste to match your decor in the bathroom.

Good luck and keep well okay ? Mwah !

I wish I had read this earlier as my landlord has just been for a cuppa and he is a plumbing and heating engineer also.So he would have known what one of these is all about.I have bought myself some Junior Oilatem for if a child has exma and the like.I put it on down there and it coats me and peeing is not so bad.I have not been diagnosed yet I am going to London to the hospital of excellence. When my g.p had a look down there yesterday one of the lumps that were there she was not sure if it was an ulcer, but further back I have one that comes up and down but she said there was a tear (sic) do you get these.Hugs xxxxx

Hi Butterfly 54, I'm new to here and not yet diagnosed. I have an appointment at the london CofE very soon so we shall see. My ulcers seem to have calmed down recently but I use Trimovate as soon as I sense one coming and that seems to keep them at bay. When I first got them I had a lydocane gel which would at least ease the stinging when I went to the toilet. The only other thing I would do is sit in a warm bath and when possible do as little as possible so as not to rub or agravate them. Hope that helps. x

PS. Trimovate is advised to use externally only, however my Dr suggested it for my downstairs ulcers. I'm not sure how well it helped with the bigger more painful ones but it does seem to help now. I would talk to your GP before trying it though just in case.

I'm sorry that sounds painful, I usually only ever have one at a time but they can be quite big. I hope you get help at the Behcets centre, they seem very helpful, and even if it's not Behcets I think they will try and point you in the right direction and advise on how to treat the ulcers. Good luck. x
