Poor Stormy
My doggy had to have surgery on his front paw today. He injured it about 10 days ago and I took him to the vet that I have used before. They said just let it rest and it should be fine. Well, it got massively worse all of a sudden. I took him today after being up with him all night in pain. His paw was

Having a bad day
This is my third post in this group and I’m hoping to get some positive testimonials from long term APS patients. I’m 38, my partial diagnosis started a month ago when I was hospitalized with bilateral PEs. My first round of tested showed triple positive. Unsure what that means still. Went home from

Is iron spray any good for night-time dosing?
Has anyone any experience with using iron supplement in spray format? Presumably you’d need a few squirts but better tolerated? Contains iron in the form ferric sodium edtate & ferric ammonium citrate.

GCA tapering query
Following my recent diagnosis of GCA, I had an appointment with GP after my pred being upped to 40mg daily. We agreed to me staying on 40mg for time being and he is happy for me to follow my tapering regime when ready - he feels I have known what to do during my PMR journey(thanks to support of this

High ALT and Bilirubin and worried
my ‘urgent blood’ tests have come back and I am stressed to pieces as following my ultrasound I was told I had a fatty liver. My LFTs were all normal apart from my ALT which was 45 and needed to be less than 33, and Serum Bilirubin which was 27 and should be less than 21. Both readings end of March

Filling the syringe
I did my first 8 subcutaneous b12 injections as I was shown by the doctor. Since then the nurse at my g.p. surgery has been doing my injections every 2 weeks as prescribed. (She offered me the choice of continuing to do it myself or she would do it.)The consultant had told me if I wanted to give myself

SSI Registration - any reason not to?
Hi, I asked my previous eye consultant if they would fill a form out to say I was visually impaired. It was a few years ago but they refused which was frustrating because I wanted to apply for a disabled railcard :-). Anyway pretty much out of the blue my current eye consultant proactively asked

Worse after an UTI and Covid
Good afternoon. About five weeks ago I developed an UTI for which I took three separate courses of antibiotics as it wouldn't clear. In the same period I contracted Covid which didn't affect me much. I only found out that I had it because a friend who I'd spent time with had done a Covid test and it

Any advice welcome
Hello. Does anyone have advice on the use of estriol cream for vaginal atrophy. Also whilst seeing the urologists they have advised that I should not worry about the fact that I have both maternal and paternal grandmothers and maternal aunts who had breast cancer. Also they've changed medication to Hiprex

Very Low Calorie Diet 800kcals - could this have started/increased my Tinitus?
I all, I'm taking part in a 800kcal diet where I hope to reverse my type 2 diabetes. It's a total meal replacement where I have 4 shakes/soups a day for a total of 12 weeks before moving onto a higher amount of calories. I've been doing it nearly 3 weeks and have lost approx 5% of my starting body

Feeling doomed today
Please can I ask for you thoughts and opinions, I understand it’s not medical advice and I’m speaking to Rheumatology but I need real like experience that only others on here have really. I came off Baracitinib in Jan because not really effective and affecting my lipids adversely. Then onto Tocilizumab

I'm new I need help
Three months ago my ear drum was destroyed while having my ear syringed.I've got possible nerve and bone damage too. Since then tinnitus in my left ear is extreme. Sleeping is a joke and I get panic attacks. My tinnitus constantly changes pitch too so masking it with white noise doesn't work. Any suggestions

I am new!
Hello! I’m a 57 year old woman who wants to lose weight and be healthy. I had lost 40 pounds over the past three years and hoped to lose another 15-20. Recently I put 7 back on and feel myself slipping back into old, bad habits. I have severe arthritis and have had several joint replacements. At times

best affordable hearing aids
I’m writing for a friend who has mild tinnitus and considerable hearing loss. Her current hearing aids are not very effective and I wonder if anyone here can recommend some which aren’t too costly.
