Hi girls, I haven’t posted in a while as nothing is working. I have HGSOC diagnosed in April 2021. I had 6 sessions of carbo/taxol with reduction. A year on Avastin and Olaparib with progression. Bio Feedback
Has anyone had success with biofeedback? Our son is 13 and had dyspraxia, he can't locate his pelvic floor so as to engage the sensors at the hospital. Anyone have any suggestions on what we could do? We have 5 more sessions (4 hour round trip plus appointment) so it would be good to try and make

Auditory hallucinations triggered by raising Levothyroxine dose.
hi. This is my first posting here so please forgive any mistakes. My 92 yr old mother has had mildly low thyroid levels diagnosed from blood tests. She was put on 25mg daily which she’s been on for some months now. The most recent blood test indicated she needed to raise the dose so was given 50mg daily

Collagen Supplements
Hello all...does anyone have any advice or guidance please on whether taking collagen supplements is a good/bad idea alongside thyroid meds? My skin and hair are terribly dry and I was wondering if they might help. But I'm about worried about including them in the regime if there are contraindications

Has anybody noticed a change to Armour at all this year?Just wanting to rule out different possibilities to why I feel worse than usual.
I have had alot of additional tough stressors this year ,but my FT4 and FT3 have dropped despite a gradual dose increase. I am going through the list of possibilities suggested on this forum, but thought I also should ask the question has Armour changed this year, ie perhaps a filler? I understand '

Anticoagulant
I'm wondering if I really do need to continue with Rivaroxaban 20mg. Diagnosed about 15 years ago with paroxysmal AF and an ablation 13 years ago, I haven't actually had a bout of AF for over two years. I only experience ectopics and even they have reduced since taking magnesium and CoenzymeQ10. I'm

MCT Oil
in another thread someone posted today about MCT oil. I hadn’t heard of this and have tried to research it. It seems to be useful in a variety of situations and claims include support in weight gain, increased energy, constipation t and pain relief. Really it sounds a bit of a ‘cure all’. I’m wondering

My wonderful mum
I wanted to let you know that after almost 5 years of fighting this awful disease, my wonderful mum has passed away. Me and my family are absolutely devastated. She fought to the very end. It was a peaceful ending. my brother and I were holding each hand, repeating how much we loved her, and then she

IBS? but with no bowel symptoms
I have stomach pain (across lower abdomen) roughly every 2 weeks (on average) ... I have been keeping a diary and have not found any obvious triggers. This has been for around 1.5 years. I am a 'senior'..60s. I have been trying to cut out foods one by one from the FODMAP list to see if any difference

Modified Citrus Pectin
New study below [1]. Earlier (2021) results [2] - full text. The study was on men with non-metastatic biochemically relapsed PCa. There was no placebo arm. Dr. Isaac Eliaz created PectaSol - Modified Citrus Pectin [P-MCP] thirty years ago. There are 110 PubMed references to it - Eliaz claims

why did I not go sooner
hi, I have a large (3cm) acoustic neuroma diagnosed this week. I will find out the recommendation in 2 weeks. I always put my loss of hearing and tinnitus down to stress. But then I started getting a fullness feeling in my ear and had a hearing test and MRI. It worries me about surgery and the not

Degarelix bad reaction
I just had my 5th Degarelix injection. The prior four injections prompted no reaction beyond pain and soreness at the site. The reaction to the 5th shot caused more pain than usual at the injection site, but also came with chills and severe joint and muscle pain by that evening. I woke up the next day

Blurry Vision
I have recently begun treatment - I'm just about 2 months in. I began with a Rituxan infusion once a week for 4 weeks. Concurrently, I began Calquence (acalabrutinib) and Allopurinal, which I will take indefinitely. Shortly after beginning treatment, I began experiencing blurred vision, which continues

Objective tinnitus help please.
Not me, my 90 years old next Monday mother in law! She has tinnitus and everyone can hear it when within earshot. We are 40 miles away and hear it when we phone her. She did have a UTI a couple of weeks ago and took Nitrofurantoin for it but became extremely unbalanced, and stopped it after four days

Need your input
I am not asking for a medical opinion. I am hoping to get this soon after studying the Epstein Barr virus, MS and my symptoms. Have any of you been diagnosed with the Epstein Barr virus? Do any of you have tinnitus, iritis, vertigo and tendons? I started to have numbness in the back of my neck,

Thank you
Big thanks to everyone who commiserated with me on my recent fall. Especial thanks to those who related their own stories of falling, mostly making them funny. We're a brave lot on Health Unlocked. It's taking me longer to recover than I thought it would. My shoulders still ache a bit, making it hard

Hi all! First post! I’ve been having problems with frequent diarrhoea for 4 years, finally last week got diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. I’ve been prescribed Octasa 800mg 6 times per day but have people got worse before they got better? Started them last Tuesday but by Thursday started aching all
