Anyone have Fuchs as well as Glaucoma
I was initially diagnosed with thickened corneas in the late 1990s - then had a vitreous detachment in 2009 and diagnosed with Fuchs plus Glaucoma suspect with early stage cataracts - was treated with Cosopt until I moved areas in 2021 - since then I’ve had different diagnoses from a hole in my macula

Hashimotos and Hyperlipidemia
I was just reading a post on the forum from a person who is a poor converter of T3 to T4. Does anyone have any knowledge whether this would apply to someone having been diagnosed by a specialist hospital clinical biochemist with Hyperlipidemia?

Aleve use for pain other than pmr
I have found the occasional use of an Aleve helps so much with pain when I am decreasing the prednisone. Most of my pain comes from my back fractures. As I reduce the pred. My back aches get worse. Does anyone know why an Aleve would be worse for me than some of the meds they suggest that have much

GCA and aneurysms
I had a chest CT scan and read the results on MyChart. They found a 4.6 aneurysmal dilation in my ascending aorta. I sent a message to my doctor yesterday regarding this and I have heard nothing! I’m quite anxious and surprised to not have heard anything back yet. I guess I’m just wondering if my

Rash photo.
Newbie here. Not diagnosed with lupus nor Sjogren's, though I do have symptoms of both. I've had this weird rash on the back of my neck, into my hairline for a while now. Any ideas if it could be lupus/Sjogren's related? Many thanks in advance for any replies.

The dilemma of hypoalbuminemia
Hello everyone, I have a history of MPN for many years, I have noticed that my liver protein, total protein, albumin, and prealbumin levels are all frighteningly low in routine medical examinations. I even suspect that my C-reactive protein levels are low even when I am in an inflammatory state. Low

Blood Test Rip-off
I've received an email from privatebloodtests.co.uk which is part of Blue Horizon. They offer traditional blood tests at astronomic prices. No doubt they will have 'offers' but my view is that we should, when possible, boycott these companies. There is great temptation to see more blood tests as better

Opportunities to help with research
Good morning all! We've had a lot of requests from researchers for volunteers to help with their studies. We've been sharing them on social media, but I thought I'd do a round up here. For most of them, there's simply an online questionnaire, but for some, it's more in-depth interviews and discussions

Recently diagnosed lower left lobe cancer
I don't know the type of cancer yet. I had a bronchoscopy, but they were unable to get a tissue sample. I then I had a positive pet scan. I've seen my surgeon and am scheduled for late August ti to have a lower left lung lobectomy. I don't know the cancer type or stage at this point. I've been told

Few thoughts on Parkinson's
PD is a multi factor illness (except some rare inherited cases of Parkinson's m)...I would say with no particular order:1, some chronic bacterial low grade intracellular infection(s) the more co infections the better :)ideally in head area, sinuses, dents etc. 2, bad lifestyle and dietary habits - sugar

Post Skin Biobsy Horribleness
I had a skin biopsy yesterday using local anaesthetic, standard skin puncture and a couple of stitches. I actually felt quite well after the procedure but feel like I've been run over by a truck today. I took 5mg of hydrocortisone about an hour ago and now feel slightly better. Is adrenal output taxed

My Cetrotide injection spilled, I’m worried
Hi, so I was on day 2 of my Cetrotide injection and spilled a lot of it when I didn’t realize bubbles in the syringe. I could only inject a little more liquid that was left. Should I be worried? My doctor put me on 3 more Cetrotide for the weekend. I am seeing her on Monday morning and due for possible
