Hello, I have severe Tinnitus which started in my 20is due to prolonged high noise exposure while clubbing in my 20is. I am nearly 54 now and sometimes it is almost unbearable. I have also had hearing loss especially in my left year. I have been wearing phonak hearing aids for 7 months now but they don't really help when I am out and about orin a noisy environment. The Tinnitus gets worst and I struggle to hear people talking as, all I hear is strong background noise. Do you have any suggestions please? Thank you xx

not sure hearing aids are supposed to work like that . You should be hearing the nearest sounds , voices etc very clearly. Try checking with the audiologist.

Yeah, it sounds like the settings on your HA's are wrong. They can have different programs for different settings you might encounter, but it's often a bit hit and miss to find the right set-up. Pester your audiologist - hopefully NHS, but if you've paid privately you can pester them even more.
