Foraminotomy
has anybody had a posterior endoscopic foraminotomy? In particular for bone spurs. I could be looking at this surgery once injections have been exhausted. Would be interested in hearing from people about how they found it, did it work, and crucially what was your post op experience like, pain levels,

Had results but still confused 🤷🏻‍♀️
After having biopsy samples taken during an incomplete colonoscopy back on 20th Jan and then having the CT pneumocolon on 8th Feb I have finally had the results read out to me by the med sec….not sure if it’s left me with more questions rather than answers 🤷🏻‍♀️ The biopsy results show inflammation

Warfarin to Edoxaban
I have for the last few months been prescribed 60mg Edoxaban after 10 years of taking Warfarin after a DVT and PE. This due to my GP surgery merger with a bigger practice. Warfarin was my only option in 2013 before these new drugs became available. I'm told it's safer and no INR blood tests. I'd like

Methotrexate and hair thinning
Hi everyone. I’ve been on methotrexate for almost exactly 2 years and I can’t work out if my hair is currently thinning, it was fine before but these past few weeks it seems like more is coming out when I brush it. I don’t know if I’m imagining it or if it’s just going through it’s normal resting phase

Waxing or hair removal when on Warfarin
Hi. I just had a mechanical valve replacement on the 16th of August 2023. I would like to get waxed. Is it possible to? I have never bled before warfarin. Are there other hair removal methods that are safer or can I stick to waxing?

Bowel preparation before surgery
Hi everyone! 💛 Just been on pre op assessment and nurse said I don’t need to do bowel preparation at home. I will have hysterectomy with bowel resection and Endo excision. Has anyone had bowel preparation at hospital just before the operation? I am quite concerned what is going on 🤷‍♀️

Runny eyes
I have recently been diagnosed with suspected glaucoma and prescribed one eye drop a day. Before this I had experienced runny eyes and had been referred to an optician by my GP. She found that I had dry eye. Often now a short while after my eye drop the eye runs briefly. I am worried that the eye drop

High blood sugar on T3+T4 Combo
Hi all. Following on from my previous post on how despite weight loss, regular weight training and muscle gain coupled with a lowish carb diet (c50g per day) my blood sugar has not reduced whilst my thyroid levels are pretty good and I feel much better: https://healthunlocked.com/thyroiduk/posts/150101920

Quantiferon TB Golf test before starting Actemra
Hi . this is Groda again. My Rheum wants me to start on Actemra for my GCA. He prescribed a Quantiferon TB Golf test (IGRA) before starting Actemra. Would like to know if anyone else had to have this test before starting Actemra. Also, for those that were on Actemra, how long where you on it? Infusion

Oral Anticoagulation and Inter Cranial Bleeds - meta-analysis report
I would emphasise that this information and study ONLY applies to those who have had 2 specific types of Cranial bleeds and have AF and looks at the risks for these people versus net benefit resulting in a caution to doctors. Lab Tests Indicate High Lipase
Has anyone taking prednisone and Actemra had a high lipase on their routine lab tests. I’m on 4 mg prednisone and bi-weekly injections of Actemra for GCA. I get lab tests every month, and the past several months Lipase is high (usually around 60-70). I’ve done a CT scan with the dye, and was told

Dull pain back of head and neck.
My hubby has had ongoing issues with his left ear, doc thought he had an ear infection, was given antibiotics, didn’t help. Then he started with headaches which was unusual for him. He then had a fullness feeling in his head, constantly tired and a dull pain at the back of his head. Also has tinnitus

Road blocks
Hi all,I thought I'd update you all. I went into hospital in the 20/02 to have my second last chemo before the BMT. Upon admission, I had a fever. After 4 days of fevers and a rash from head to toe, the doctors elected to postpone the BMT. So now the search is on to find out what drugs didn't agree
