bowel obstruction
hello, my Mum is now in palliative care (12 days) for a total bowel obstruction because of a 6 sigmoid volvulus. At 92 an operation is not possible. Almost two weeks now and so far she is coping remarkably - her tummy is huge but otherwise only moderate pain now and then and a need to pee quite often

Has anyone found Mebeverine/Buscopan helpful?
Following a Laparoscopy, it is highly likely that I have Adenomyosis. One of the hardest symptoms is the uncomfortable bowel issues. I get bloating and constipation. I am wondering if it is worth trying Mebeverine or Buscopan. I've tried dietary and peppermint oil but neither really helped.Thank you

UTI and microscopic haematuria
After years of recurring uti and a diagnosis of cystitis cystica after camera jobby I was prescribed vagifem. This worked for 7 years until mother of infection which took 2 lots of antibiotics to subside, and has left me with microscopic haematuria. Don't want further tests, has anyone else experienced

For you guys having treatment and experiencing tumor pain prior to treatment. Have you seen pain reduction after treatments. I finished my 3rd treatment a week ago and as of today the pain has increased 😩. I take Oxy already but my doctor has given me a fentanyl patch to see if that helps. I know

A cautionary tale
At short notice I accepted an invitation for a cryo ablation on last Monday. I have been on rivaroxaban and clopidogrel for a year. The ablation was straightforward and successful, however within minutes, while I was still very groggy from the local anaesthetic, I suffered a TIA (very minor stroke)

Hi, Hope all is well. It's been over a month since I started bleeding and I have stomach pains, abdominal pain, back pain, severe nausea and diarrhea. I have had a ultrasound which showed nothing except for a small cyst on the right. I have been to the GP several times and they keep prescribing me

A Week of Test and Scans (Well, almost)
I had a Heart scan yesterday, a Liver blood test today, and a Liver scan tomorrow. Then I sit back and wait to hear what they say. I never worry about any of it. I get on with my life and do whatever they ask of me. I know very little about my results numbers. I let the consultants, Liver nurses and

Wondering if anyone has had dental extraction while on Actemra. I was told by my dentist that it affects the jaw and I would need to see a specialist since an extraction would be problematic? I am in the UK and have weekly Actemra injections. Thx

when to take tablets
I have had my thyroid problem since 1992 and when I was just taking my thyroxine , when to take it was not a problem. Now I have atrial fibrillation and have to take 1/2 tablet of Apocard with a blood thinner 12 hours apart with food. I also have to take a beta blocker with food but not with the Apocard

Tips for flying
Hello folks, been suffering with Tinnitus in the form of a high pitched hissing in both ears since contracting COVID in early 2020. I don't let it bother me too much on a daily basis, but it sometimes becomes an annoyance at times of stress or tiredness etc, or particularly during driving long distances

Hi all. I have had tinnitus since last year which came about after either having Covid or the jab. Not sure which. I had my ears checked and it was all normal. In January I had vertigo and Labyrinthitis with high BP. This was resolved with antibiotics .Recently I had a headache followed by a high
