Newly diagnosed with AN
Hi, I was diagnosed with a 2cm AN in July of this year in Dorset County Hospital with promise of a referral to Southampton General. After 6 weeks without the expected letter arriving I contacted Southampton to be told that they had no record of referral so I had to go back to DCH to chase them 😐. This

My Condition and OP - Update.
Hello all. Was having a lie-in this morning - The phone rang and it was the urology waiting list people. I was informed my op to see if the BCG treatment had worked or not, is scheduled for the 8th of October. I doubt very much the BCG will have worked - I think my urology/oncology nurse thinks

Red Eye Update
Hi,I posted a few days ago about keep having a bloodshot eye. Now on 4th since the beginning of the month!! Or maybe they never actually completely go in the first place, only disappear from the visible part of my eye? I went to the MEC clinic at Specsavers and after various tests and examining my eyes

Tinnitus unbearable
Hi everyone, I'm having an awful time with Tinnitus. I've been taking, buspirone, just weaned off Pregabalin, blood pressure not staying stable,so gp changed my script from Losartan to Irbesartan plus lercanidipine which I was already on,I feel that the new meds are responsible, I obviously won't stop

Fatty Liver disease and Triglyceride levels
Is it common place for people with fatty liver disease to have elevated triglyceride levels? Would you expect triglyceride levels to correlate with a fibroscan CAP score? There's also a particular type of cholesterol associated with the liver called VLDL: Is this a test that an NHS GP can do or is

A cure?
After watching the Beato tinnitus YT this came up in my suggestions. "How I cured my Tinnitus" https://youtu.be/y4zuVk5STuM?si=GbABrl7qIz7YEpNH He's an ENT doctor and comes over as very genuine and says his method might not work for everyone. It seems to me it was like a constant distraction

Anticoagulants - Warfarin v NOACs
Recently my EP suggested that maybe I would prefer to be taking NOACs rather than my current anticoagulant Warfarin as it would reduce blood tests. On his recommendation I had a consultation with my GP to discuss this option. I have had 2 occasions in the past 6 years where I have had a serious bleed

Profile Update
I was going to update my profile but after adding additional ailments several times and then having them disappear, I have decided to inform via this post. I was diagnosed with PMR early 2016 with 15 mgs prednisone. Since that year I've had right leg replacement and bleeding ulcer at the same time

Thank you.
Thank you to everyone who answered my question about taking Antibiotics with Tocilizumab. I should have looked at my leaflet but I had so much going on I didn’t think about that. I was trying to sort out my prescription and had 2 men digging up my front path to lay cables for fibre broadband. They were

protein supplements: yes or no?
Since I just finished Viewray Tx at UCLA, I’m moving on to the diet & exercise research zone. I’d like input on what the latest research, if any, is RE protein supplements. Whey isolate vs. vegan protein supp? Does either one promote or suppress PCa after Tx? Also, what’s the latest on eggs? It seems

BUPRENORPHINE
This is my story: I am 74 and have had RLS since I had a Cervical Fusion in 1984. I took different medications until I went into augmentation from pramipexole 3 years ago. Then all hell broke loose. For the past two years I would walk all night because I could not sit. I used my stationary bike
