Hi,I have glue ear in my left ear, for quite a while it has been oozing a thick fluid, I have had 2 courses of antibiotics over the past 6 or 7 months, it clears up but comes back. It has started again now, I have no pain and feel fine, my hearing is much better to, is this actually an infection or is it my ear releasing fluid?? It is constantly leaking though, it doesn't stop.
The only antibiotics I can have for it make me feel unwell so I would rather not go on them again.
Shall I just leave it as my hearing seems better and clearer and has anyone had experience of this?

I had glue ear for many many years. From childhood through to late 20’s. It stopped briefly when I had an operation but similar to you, antibiotics didn’t clear it up long term.
I’m not sure if you’re open to alternative health options, but mine cleared up after introducing a few things. 1.) CoQ10- a powerful anti oxident 2.) Juicing- I did a juice cleanse for other reasons and noticed the impact it was having on my ears 3.) Reducing dairy intake- I noticed a difference in the level of fluid after having a large amount of dairy.
I wanted to share these incase you feel like you’ve run out of options
It honestly changed my life as it was having a significant impact on my job (needing to leave the room regularly) and hearing.
