Prostap v Lupron
I have just had my first 3 monthly Prostap injection following 2 x 1 monthly injections. I believe Prostap is similar to Zolodex. I notice that many of you mention Lupron. Can anyone explain the differences and am I on the best option for ADT? One further question is that I am yet to have my hormone

Erleada (Apalutamide)
Does anyone else take Apalutamide? Combined with Lupron has worked but side affects continuing for over a year has me clamoring for a break. Cancer had spread to bones but PSA <0.01. Want to try a break but DR. indicates once I stop, cannot go back on above- Any Thoughts? Richard

Excruciating Pain when Urinating - Every Time
Seasons Greetings! G9, metastatic PC. I have a question, post TURP (to provide some quality of life) post Radiation (44 days), on Lupron and Ababitaron, PSA is 0.0<5, however, I continue to have excruciating pain when urinating, like razor-wire. I have many "micro-pees" per day and the pain is there

Anything that can be done here?
4 years ago, my dad (now 72) was diagnosed with (what was at the time thought to be) localized prostate cancer. He underwent radiation and a couple years of Lupron. This past summer, his PSA spiked to 2.0. A PET scan showed no signs of cancer outside the prostate, and a prostate biopsy showed no signs

Hot Flashes
I began taking 120 mg daily of Orgovyx last week and am already experiencing hot flashes. I know from my previous experience on Lupron that my hot flashes can be very uncomfortable and embarrassing. My MO prescribed Effexor to control the hot flashes, but upon learning it’s an anti-depressant, I am

Looking for some hope
So I am officially castrate resistant. 3 years and 2 months after my diagnosis. Yesterday I got my results from my PSMA PET scan at Duke and it showed about 7 new spots all in my bones. My C1 (neck) one rib and the rest in my pelvis. I’ve been on Lupron since the beginning, zytiga, then Xtandi also

CMP and PSA update
After 100 day on Lupron and 45 days on Abiraterone my PSA is 0.25 my CMP is normal except for AST which is 39 on a normal range of 15-37 ALT is 56 on a 15-61 normal range. PSA is clearly a good #, should I be worried about rise in AST and ALT as they have both doubled since starting these meds. ?

Zoladex VS Lupron
Good morning!! Has anyone switched from Zoladex to Lupron? And what side effects do you have from the Lupron? My Dr. Just called and said my insurance company is no longer covering Zoladex so they are switching me to Lupron. TIA

Help with doctors and getting to a plan
In addition to my Gleason 9 and PSA of 18, I have a metastasis on the right pubic bone, discovered by a nm bone scan on Thursday, and am going for chest, ab, pelvic scan today to see if that is the only other site. I met with Dr Cheetham from Mt Sinai because I was waiting and waiting for appointments

Emotional instability after stopping lupron and abiraterone
After an initial few months of positive improvements in every sector, my guy started into a mental health/cognitive decline to the point where he is now dependent on gabapentin he takes for other reasons in order to maintain any emotional stability. He says his short term memory is also getting worse

Starting Xtandi
Almost 2 years on Lupron and Bicaludimide and my PSA is starting to go back up. The least it has been is 1.75 a few months ago then about 2.0 last month and now less than 4. My MOC wanted me to start me on Xtandi . I have read the Xtandi information and there are some severe side effects. None of them

Scan Results and Treatment Begins
My last post was about 4 months ago. I had planned on posting the results much sooner, but the trip had a few more twists and turns than I planned. Here’s the promised update of my adventure. My history is in my profile and my MO is Dr Maha Hussain. So after 3 clear Axumin scans since 2019, the September

Why is having sex with a guy on Lupron like a snow storm? You never know when he's coming, how many inches you'll get, or how long it will last.

13 year Battle with Stage 4 PC
This is a long post - patience is advised. My warrior husband passed away on Nov 19 after a 13 year battle with Prostate Cancer. He was originally diagnosed in 2008 with a Gleason of 3+4 and PSA of 35 at age 59. He had a radical prostatectomy followed by 34 radiation treatments. His PSA remained undetectable
