Seasons Greetings! G9, metastatic PC. I have a question, post TURP (to provide some quality of life) post Radiation (44 days), on Lupron and Ababitaron, PSA is 0.0<5, however, I continue to have excruciating pain when urinating, like razor-wire. I have many "micro-pees" per day and the pain is there as well. A micro is when I have a drop and the pad catches it. I could go on, but has anyone experienced this? We have tried Gabapentin to help and no luck. Thinking about abandoning Gabapentin,
BTW, I was experiencing this before my diagnosis (6.22.21).
Thanks, and Happy Holidays to you all.

Sorry you are enduring this. My hubs has had & has lots of urological problems (post RALP 2014 & IMRT 2016). His due to radiation cystitis. Hope you get relief soon & can enjoy your holidays.
Hi Tall_Allen and thanks for your questions. I have not had a history of prostatitis. I spoke with my urologist nurse today and she just sent in an Rx for Pyridium. I am having another cystoscopy next week, lucky me.
My issue is clotted blood coming out when I urinate, then once expelled the urine is clear. Bacteria found during urine test, for which I took Cipron for 7 days. Bleeding still occurs after I finished the anti biotics. CBC tests were ok. Uro said since I dont have a problem urinating he didn't want to do anything. Did not elaborate. Concerned about possible secondary bladder cancer after having gone 42 days of radiation 4+ years ago.
Johnson, I am also experiencing pain when I urinate. I saw my urologist 2 weeks ago and she's thinking of a enlarged prostate. She prescribed me Tamsulosin. Friends told me they are on this but may take a couple of months for it to work. I have a cystoscopy late March. Fun times. Keep us updated.Nick
I suffered for 4-5 months with this. Tried Urobel and Pyridium. Not much help. Then test showed I had UTI. Bactrim antibiotic cleared it up in two weeks. CT scan also showed I had urinary stones which may have caused the infection. I also take numerous supplements for the urinary tract. Also started taking Tamsulosin (Flomax), which seems to be helping with flow.
