Does anyone else take Apalutamide? Combined with Lupron has worked but side affects continuing for over a year has me clamoring for a break. Cancer had spread to bones but PSA <0.01.
Want to try a break but DR. indicates once I stop, cannot go back on above- Any Thoughts?

Hi I have been on my holy trinity of Erleada, Lupron and Xgeva going on 3 years. I still have depression, it is not as bad as it was initially. The same goes for my limited appetite and nausea. Are you experiencing anything else?
Ive been in titan trial over 4 yrs so lupron / erleada since dx w stg 4 gl9 ductal hystoligy pinv. And side effects are for me a mofo....fatigue a biggie and muscle bone loss....i was told from gitgo no vac....but i am seriously rethinking....i would have to give up the 16k worth of erleada ...but my psa has justnow gotten to .06.....so...i dont know...but i do believe the combo has kept me going longer than the max 2yrs at dx if i did nothing
2 years for me on Eligard/Erleada and Prolia. 0 PSA for that time with T level <4. Hot flushes, fatigue, muscle loss and don’t sleep well most nights. If it gets no worse, I can stand it for another 20 years. Would love a vacation, just don’t won’t this stuff to wake up. There are trials that are adding a chemo drug to similar regimen that I’m researching. Right now I’m NED.
It is almost a year now on Lupron q4months and Erleada 240mg a day. Usual effects of fatigue, muscle loss, slight moob enlargement and a kind of couch potato figure despite limiting my intake. For me, its kind of a waiting game, especially with the high incidence of cardiac issues in the background, and of course the hesitation prior to the next blood test (Jan 4th) to see if PSA/T are rising. I still work full time and I think I am having some mild memory issues, or am I?😀😀😀
I was on Erleada and had all the usual SEs, brain fog, weakness, etc. I put up with all that, then I developed the "Erleada Rash". They call it a rash but it is far worse than any rash I have ever had - rough red "alligator"skin and severe itching. Couldn't even wear a shirt for months, stopped Erleada and it slowly cleared up. Went back on it at my DR's urging and the rash started again so I quit, it was horrible - no QOL. Now I'm on Xtandi and life is much better.
What i really notice to on lupron / erleada...scratches and cuts take a lot longer to heal and all get redness around them....i work on my own cars and still do a little cinstruction work...
