Subclinical hypothyroidism and IVF
Hi, I was directed here from the Fertility UK forum. We’ve had 1 round of IVF/ICSI which we were referred for due to my partner’s low sperm count. Our first embryo transfer was not successful. We have a frozen embryo, but the clinic advised I get my Vit D and thyroid levels tested before transfer

pegasys and migraines
I see from a recent post response that there are others on Pegasys who have suffered from migraines. I have been on 45 mcg weekly for a few months and have just had an excruciatingly painful migraine. I have had a few less painful ones. I’m hoping some patients will share their experience on this

stop prednisone with flu vaccine?
I was told not to take my prednisone and antiviral to receive flu vaccine. Has anyone heard of that? That it would be less potent. When do we recommence ? Thank you!

Timing of flu vaccine when on weekly Tocilizumab
Hello all After an unsuccessful trial of 5 months without Tocilizumab, I am back on weekly injections. It's also time to have my flu jab. In the past when on two-weekly and three-weekly injections it was easy to fit the flu vaccine in not too close to the injections. Now, the best I could do would be

athletes foot ?
I’ve always had problem with my pinky toe as it bends under my other toe. It’s never been this bad. Normally when it’s sore and itchy I apply athlete foot cream and it goes within a few days as sweat gets trapped easily. I’ve been using athletes foot cream for 3 weeks now and I don’t think it is that

Working full-time with a DBS
DBS Deep Brain Stimulation. 1) Are there any warriors who have received DBS and are still employed full-time? 2) Are there any IT/computers warriors who have received DBS and are still working? Just wondering if that's humanly possible. Thank you for your time.

Hi all, After 3 years TTC and issues getting NHS funding, we finally started our IVF journey using ICSI. I'm a pessimist and had low expectations, so I was thrilled when we got our BFP!! When to start stims?
Hi everyone! I just wondered if anyone has experience in an ICSI cycle of taking clomiphene from day 2 but not starting stim injections until several days later? I am currently having treatment abroad due to cost and this is the protocol they have put me on, so today on day 6 I only have one follicle

Swelling back after knee aspiration
Hi everyone,I have had a diagnosis of inflammatory arthritis for about 10 years now (although the symptoms had been there many years longer like so many of us). I am on a weekly Metoject 20mg and 6x 500g Sulfasalazine daily. It tends to be my knees that are particularly affected and over the last 10

How long to quarantine after Covid?
Hello, My parent has CLL and tested positive for COVID for 12 days and has now been testing negative for 48 hours. He hasn’t had any symptoms for a week, except “Covid toes”, which we think are slowly improving. We are trying to decide if he should leave quarantine or not. The CDC still has a page up

ovulation pain post ICSI treatment
Hello, I had a failed ICSI cycle at the end of January. I have been using ovulation tests and found out that I ovulated on the weekend. However, I had really horrible pain on one side that lasted for a day, back ache and felt incredibly hot. I’ve never had this around ovulation before. Has anyone experienced

anyone experienced tremors post covid?
I had covid in 2022 and it brought on Graves’ disease and AF. This year I had gone into remission following a year on carminazole and everything heart related is normal. However I recently got bad covid and have since then had internal tremors. Is it likely it has reactivated my graves?

mannitol
mannitol which is in Teva brand of thyroxine and does not agree with everyone. I have found out is obtained by the hydrogenation of sugars from wheat/corn starch no wonder I have problems, being gluten free. Also found it in other medications.
